Reshem Filili in USA tour

The popular comedy movie ‘Resham Filili’ is going to be screened in various cities in the USA. The movie is scheduled to be held in cities including Baltimore, Virgina, Washington, Texas, New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francesco and Colorado. The actor and producer Vinay Shrestha has already headed to USA for the shows.

The movie is scheduled to be premiered among the Nepali-Bhutani community in the USA. Vinay will also be one of the judges of the upcoming Miss Bhutan USA beauty contest. The beauty contest among the young girls of Bhutan origin in USA is being held on June 20 (read report on Miss Bhutan USA in Badmasi.com). Actress and Miss Nepal 2011, Malina Joshi, had trained the contestants and will also be the judge of the contest.

NFDC National Award 2015, Nominations (full list)

The nomination for the third edition of NFDC Award has been released. In the nomination top five in each of 14 categories are released. The awards will be handed over in 20 categories. The nomination is prepared by a jury of four members from the movies released in the past one year.

The movies considered for the nomination include the movies censor cleared by the Censor Board from the first to the last day of 2071, and released in at least five different theaters. 

In the nomination movie ‘November Rain’ has received the most, 8 nominations including the Best Director and Best Movie. The nominations for the best movie are ‘Jerryy’ (watch ‘Jerry’ here), Kabaddi (watch ‘Kabaddi’ here), Nai Nabhannu La 3, ‘November Rain’ (watch ‘November Rain’ here) and ‘Talakjung Vs Tulke’. The directors of these movies were also nominated for the Best Director award.

Will Rekha Thapa return from USA ?

Actress Rekha Thapa is currently in the USA. She had gone to the USA after the second week of May, supposedly for a few days. In the June 18 status update, she is in Elmhurst, New York.

According to an interview, Rekha Thapa has clearly said that she might leave the country. In the attached interview, Rekha has said that we shouldn’t be too attached to the country and consider the whole earth our place.

Rekha says, “In the past, I used to think that I will die with the citizenship certificate of this country on my chest.” She says the earthquake has changed her view toward the country.

Before the earthquake of April 25, Rekha Thapa was preparing for the shooting of her upcoming project ‘Rampyari’. The songs were being recorded. The earthquake disrupted the plans and the shooting of the movie is uncertain. In an interview Rekha told, “How can I dance in the songs of ‘Rampyari’ when the country is mourning after the earthquake?”
