National Film Award to be held on July 28

The film award organized by the government, National Award is going to be held on July 28 at the residence of the president, Ram Baran Yadav. The award ceremony being organized by the Film Development Board (FDB) will award National Film Awards in eight different categories plus a Lifetime Achievement Award. 

The award value of Lifetime Achievement Award will be Rs. 351,111 and a trophy. Other awards will be awarded to the best film, best director, best actor (male), best actor (female), cinematographer, editor and best ethinic film.

The movie features the choreography of Babbu Thapa, cinematography of Dibya Raj Subedi, music by Birendra Agrahari / Bikash Chaudhary / Arjun Kausal, script by Manish Pantha. Actress Arunima Lamsal is featured in guest appearance role. This movie was Arunima’s comeback movie after she gave birth to a child.

Namrata Shrestha campaigns for elected PM and President

Actress Namrata Shrestha and other youths in Nepali film industry have campaigned to add a provision in the new constitution. The youths have realized that the current provision of the parliament to choose the Prime Minister and President has failed in the past. So, their demand is to let the general citizen to choose the leader of the country by an election.

For the inclusion of the provision, the team has started a campaign to collect 10,000 signatures. The signature and the suggestion will be handed over to the concerned authority. Talking in the press meet to announce the campaign, Namrata told that the citizen should be made powerful by letting them elect their leader.
