Accusing the govt being most corrupt, MJF-N withdraws support

Madhesi Janadhikar Forum –Nepal (MJF-N) on Sunday afternoon made a formal announcement of withdrawal of party’s support to the current government led by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.Organizing a press conference in the capital, MJF-N chairman Upendra Yadav announced, “MJF-N pulled back its support to the government citing that the current government is the most corrupt in Nepal’s history.” Yadav further added, ‘the current government has failed to make any progress on peace process and constitution drafting ‘.
MJF-N also accused the government for not integrating 10,000 Madhesis into the Nepal Army as per the previous agreement.
Addressing the conference, party Chairman Upendra Yadav said that the party would now stay as an active opposition party.
Withdrawing the support was decided by meeting of the MJF-N central committee held on Friday.
