Priyanka won the Miss Teen Nepal 2005 title and started acting in telefilms and hosting TV programs. She is now the the busiest actress in the Nepali film industry. After deciding to make a career in media and Nepali film industry, she went to the USA for film studies. While doing her Bachelors in University of North Alabama she met her senior Rochak Mainali. They fell in love and got married in 2010. That was before she completed her undergraduate studies. But, right after the completion of their studies, they were having problem in their relationship. Mainali wanted to live in the USA but, Priyanka wanted to go back to Nepal and act in movies.

Priyanka graduated in 2011, she returned back to Nepal. While Priyanka started working in the Nepali films, her husband returned back to the USA. The long-distance-relationship didn’t last long. Although Priyanka waited for more than a year to announce the break-up, they had reportedly divorced in 2012.

According to reports, Rochak Mainali has married another girl and is living with the new wife in the USA.

In the meantime, Priyanka also found a new boyfriend. Ayushma Desraj Joshi and Priyanka have recently engaged and are planning to get married the next year.
