  • Khagendra kissed Karishma Manandhar

When Khagendra Thapa Magar kissed Rekha Thapa in 2009, it was a huge news. This time he got an opportunity to kiss another hot actress (although, a bit older), Karishma Manandhar. But this didn’t make a big news, may be because Khagendra is no longer a world’s shortest person. Khagendra kissed Karishma in Malaysia during his attendence in Khagendra Utsav, a festival named after him.

  • Beer declared an alcohol in Russia

Until last month (July 20, 2011 to be exact), beer was considered a food. Since beer contains less than 10 percent of alcohol, they didn’t considered it alcohol.

It seems they have now realized it has alcohol enough to cause alcohol related effects. The Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has now signed a bill that has officially classifies beer as an alcoholic drink.

The bill however won’t come in effect until 2013. This was the result of the President’s 2009 order to the government to prepare a draft to control alcohol abuse in Russia.

  • Cheating (under the skirts)

Don’t get the wrong message, it has nothing to do with sex (or such bodily parts!).

It is cheats hidden on the thigh. Boys do cheat and I don’t have any data to determine who are the better cheats in exams. Boys and girls alike, can cheat in normal ways but, girls have an unfair advantage of hiding cheats on their thigh and a male invigilator can’t even check there.

  • Pole and wire – mutual support!

A twitter user, @gogoze, posted the amazing photo below. The engineering principles and rules fail when people build structures like that seen in the photo below.

    Pole_and_the_wire

It is unthinkable, unbelievable to see cable supporting hanging poles in the air. This should be the perfect example of how engineers work in Nepal. Another photo (it should be pretty scary to look up like that):

  • US newspaper deleted Clinton's photo to 'appreciate' women

An American Jewish newspaper says that it doesn’t publish images of women in its newspaper. The Brooklyn weekly went as far as doctoring the photo that shows US President Barack Obama and his staff monitoring the raid by Navy SEALs that killed Osama bin Laden.

    clinton-deleted-situation-room-photo

Two females in the photo – Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Counterterrorism Director Audrey Tomason were deleted from the photo before printing it.

The weekly, Di Tzeitung is published in Yiddish, and is sold at the newsstands in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg and Borough Park. The original photo of the situation room is
    posted below:

    situation-room-bin-laden-operation

The newspaper released a statement to apologize the mistake :

Our photo editor realizing the significance of this historic moment, published the picture, but in his haste, did not read the "fine print" that accompanied the picture, forbidding any changes and published a picture omitting the female participants in the room.

Our editorial policies are guided by a Rabbinical Board and because of laws of modesty, does not allow for the publishing of photos of women. The readership of the Tzeitung believe that women should be appreciated for who
they are and what they do, not for what they look like, and the Jewish laws of modesty are an expression of respect for women, not the opposite.

The allegations by some, that Orthodox Judaism denigrates women or do not respect women in public office,is a malicious slander and libel. The Jewish religion does not allow for discrimination based or gender, race, etc.

The full statement can be read in the website of the newspaper – ditzeitung.com
