Lalitpur City and damaged Firetruck

There was a big fire and a lot of damage in Kathmandu on April 16. In Lalitpur, the only fire truck is broken for the last 2 months and any fire can potentially cause much more damage at this time.

Summer is the fire season and not having a single fire truck in a city is height of irresponsibility of the city authorities. Even if there were fire trucks many of the houses are inaccessible due to unplanned the haphazard manner houses are built. 

In Lalitpur, the cheapest houses cost
about Rs.10-20 million and the Juddha Fire Brigade doesn’t have fund to purchase a single fire truck.
