The boy who performed surgery at 7 years of age, Akrit, speaks four languages and is trying to find a cure for cancer in his spare time.

Blood test on the highest peak

A team of researchers and climbers, curious about how the body responds to low-oxygen conditions, have reached the summit of Mount Everest to take blood sample.

The group didn’t quite manage its goal of taking blood samples on the peak. “We decided that taking an arterial blood sample on the summit itself was too dangerous,” team member Dan Martin wrote in his online diary for Nature on 30 May. Instead, members of the Caudwell Xtreme Everest expedition descended a few hundred metres to a spot where gloves could be removed more safely. (NATURE|Vol 447|7 June 2007)

What ? Gloves ? People are trying to climb it naked and and these scientists thought taking out the gloves was dangerous! May be they should ask the naked climber to donate some blood at the top of the peak.

Record breaking bikini-clad beach side photoshot

To win a spot in the Guinness World Book of Records, more than 1,000 Australian women donned free bikinis on Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Wednesday for a group photograph.

“This was certainly one of the more spectacular world records that I’ve been invited to adjudicate on,” said Chris Sheedy, a representative for Guinness World Records. As an Australian myself, it’s logical that any record involving sun, sand and surf should be held in this country.” (Reuters)

Mount Everest Records

Mount Everest has been an ideal place for record setting for adventurers. In a recent news, mountaineering authorities are calling for a ban on nudity on the highest peak. In this context, I want to present some of the records set on the top of the world.

The record setting game started with New Zealander Sir Edmund Hillary and Nepali Sherpa Tensing Norgay on 29 May 1953 when they became the first people to scale the highest peak in the world.

Last year, a Nepali climber claimed the world’s highest display of nudity when he disrobed for several minutes while standing on the 8,850-meter (29,035-foot) summit in temperatures about minus 10 degrees Celsius. In a recent news, another record-setting attempt by a Dutch man who attempted to scale the peak wearing only shorts has sparked controversy.

According to the officials, mountaineering authorities are calling for a ban on nudity and attempts to set ‘obscene records’ on the world’s highest peak. The reason they are quoting are based on some religious belief of people worshiping the mountains as gods. But if I were to choose a valid reason I would quote health and safety reason. I believe it is not a healthy thing to to be naked for a couple of days in sub-zero temperature.

Bobbitts on rise!

I posted about a news about Russian Bobbitt last month and now it is Asian Bobbitt who found kitchen knife handy to cut-off the tender organ!

One man nearly lost his penis while talking about his sex skills. When the enraged first wife nearly severed his penis with a kitchen knife, the man managed to pull on his trousers and ride motorcycle to a nearby hospital. The doctors had to put in eleven stitches to reattach the organ.

According to New Straits Times newspaper, the 43-year-old Indonesian worker in southern Johor state was lying in bed with his 48-year-old wife talking about his newly wed second wife, who is in her 30s, when the incident happened.

It is told that the police arrested the woman and they are going to charge with voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon. (Reuters)

Family's License Plates Deemed Offensive after Seven Years

After seven, five and one years of using number plates on their family names the state of Oregon has decided that the plates are offensive and ordered to turn them in.

The plates, UDINK1 UDINK2 and UDINK3 are on the vehicles of Mike and Shelly Udink and their son Kalei. Two of the plates are five and seven years old. One was issued last year.

Last summer, Kawika Udink’s application for UDINK4 was rejected and the state ordered that the other three plates be returned.

Lindsay Lohan: Addicted to sex?

It is common when someone tries to give up one addiction there is a high chance to pick up another to fill the void.

It seems that is what is happening to Lindsay Lohan. After alcohol addiction and drug addiction now it is being rumored that she is switching to sex addiction.

Insiders at the 21-year-old’s rehab centre in Utah, claim the red head can’t stop fantasising about her ex-boyfriends which include Calum Best.

US Star magazine worte: ‘She’s been having erotic dreams about her former lovers, like Calum Best, Wilmer Valderrama, and Jared Leto. Her counsellors are trying to get her to understand that she’s substituting one addiction for another.’

Last week she met her jailbird father, Michael Lohan, for the first time after two years whith whom she was quoted as saying, “Daddy, I have done some terrible things and been addicted to drugs but please believe me I will never do drugs again. I hate Hollywood and I don’t want to work there. I need a break and I am moving away. I will stop hanging around with the people that are bad for me.” (soruce)

Drunk man plays Santa and got trapped (Video)

Alejandro Valencio got wedged inside the chimney of a home rented by his ex. Connie Deweese at 3:30 a.m. The firefighters had to tear open part of her wall to rescue him. Valencio told firefighters and police that he was trying to surprise his girlfriend.

“Because I want to feel like Santa Claus,” Valencio told Evansville television station WEHT. “I was just drunk — I live here; she’s my girlfriend.”

The firefighters had to request assistance from the police because as Deweese didn’t want them to break her fireplace . “I told them to leave him in the chimney and let him die,” she told the Courier & Press.

Valencio got treated at a hospital and returned to the residence and was filmed by a local TV station as Deweese hit him with a garbage can and pelted him with bottles. (AP)

SUV crashed : high speed on the back seat

One Idaho driver lost control when he crashed his SUV into a telephone pole and that is all because his friends in backseat were having all the fun and movements.

Joshua D. Frank, a carnival worker at Moscow, Idaho, Latah County Fairgrounds pleaded guilty to failing to notify police of the accident he claimed occurred when the SUV became tipsy from the movement of the back seat couple having sex.

Frank, who was fined $188, is said to have suffered a minor head wound while his friends were treated for unspecified injuries (oh!!).(AP)

Russia: Cars prize for having babies

I never thought one would ever need a day off to make love with his wife. But Russian Government decided that they are having less babies because they never gave the people a chance to mate.

So on Sept. 12, nine months prior to Russia Day, the government offered as a day off from work so the employers can stay home and conceive and recieve bumper prizes for their babies.

In an effort to raise slumping population numbers, officials are offering couples refrigerators, dishwashers and even cars if their babies are born June 12, Russia Day. (brain child)

Corruption and bribes: Now officially approved in Indian Municipality

Corruption is a global phenomenon and it is more-or-less everywhere. It sometimes has some strong and deep roots that the government can’t uproot.

The Municipal Corporation of Ghaziabad (MCG) came up with an innovative idea to make bribe system official. Now people can bribe the government officials by giving them money but it has to be submitted to the office in a form of a cheque.

A contractor who bags a tender for a government project is now required to pay 15 per cent of the quoted amount to MCG. That’s the kickback money he would ordinarily have paid to department employees. But now it’s going into the municipality’s coffers. (Times of India)

I won’t be surprised if the contractors begin adding a “bribe” amount in tender proposal itself.

Sick and fined!

This guy proved the saying that when luck is not with you, you tend to invite yourself trouble. The poor guy was sick and he is fined on top of it for his negligence to test himself before returning to work.

A 20 years old bakery worker, Adam Duerr, from Edmonton, Canada was told to stay at home until tests showed he had recovered from symptoms of salmonella poisoning. He failed to have him tested before going back to work and was fined C$1,000 for ignoring the order.

The bakery and the owner were also fined C$1,500 and C$1,000 respectively. (Reuters)
