Onir says, ‘I will make a film in Nepal’

Indian director Onir appeared happy during an interaction held in Gurukul, Kathmandu, after the special screening of his movie, I AM.  A day earlier the movie was screened in Rastriya Naachghar.

The director who had previously directed the films like "Bas ek Pal", "My brother Nikhil", and "Sorry Bhai", usually makes films in social, and serious human issues. In the movie, I AM, he has tried to portray bisexual behavior in people and how they the issue is ignored by the Indian society and the country’s constitution.

Only Rs. 5 thousand penalty to Galaxy for jesting Nepali pride

Galaxy Public School, situated at Gyaneshwor is recognized as reputed school where children of high status people study. But what the Galaxy School students are learning from such reputed school.

Our national bird is peacock.

Our national animal is tiger.

Our national flower is Lotus.

This is what, students of class one of Galaxy School, are learning. When this news was flash out in News 24, five members committee was formed by Ministry of Education for inspecting the matter and found Galaxy guilty.

But, only Rs. 5000/- as a penalty to Galaxy school for teaching Indian syllabus to students in Nepal.  Galaxy was penalized for using Indian syllabus without permission.

From Sikkim to Nepal: Prashant Tamang brings Angalo Yo Maya Ko

Former Indian Idol Prashant Tamang arrived in Kathmandu on Wednesday, for two days. He is here for the publicity for his upcoming film, "Angaalo Yo Maya Ko". The movie is his second film after "Gorkha Paltan". Gorkha Paltan was a big hit of last year.

The director of the movie, Binod Sereng, is hopeful that the film will be a hit like Gorkha Paltan. He said, "There is plus point in Prashant’s image as well as the film is of high quality in it’s presentation and technology". Model Harshika shrestha has debuted as an actress in this film.
