Miss SLC Teen for 2012 – Bibita Chand

Bibita Chand, 16, was crowned Miss SLC 2012 in the competition entitled “Miss SLC Teen” organized by Bandana Kala Kendra and Team Work Nepal at Rastriya Nachghar Saturday.

Bibita, who passed her SLC examinations from Siddhartha Banasthali Institute of Kathmandu, left behind other 14 contestants. Susma Tamang from Naya Bazaar won the first runner-up title and the second runner-up was Nisha Nepal from New Baneshwor.

To the question, “What do you want to be: A successful person or good human being?”, Bibita answered that she wanted to be a good human being because positive quality, good personality, and discipline were always there in good human beings which can also be found in successful persons and won the title. The title winner received full scholarship at Premier College and a purse of Rs. 30,000.

Father jailed for 25 years on charge of Rape

Bhim Bahadur Subedi, a resident of Hetaunda Municipality-4, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on the charge of raping his daughter on April 24 while she was alone at home.

Neighbours had informed the police after hearing the girl scream and Subedi was taken into custody, according to RSS Reports. The Makwanpur District Court handed down 15-year imprisonment for rape and an additional 10-year imprisonment for incest on Subedi.
