Poonam Pandey nudity – will it be an April Fool joke? (Interview)
In Indian model is in dilemma whether to keep her promise or not amidst increasing pressure from her fans (asking her to keep her promise), criticism, and even the looming threat of moral policing from Shiva Sena. 19 year old model Poonam Pandey had promised to bare all if the Indian national team wins the World Cup 2011. Her wish has come true, and her fans are drooling to get a glimpse of her ‘promise’.
Poonam, a 5’7" tall model, featured in India’s best-selling swimwear calendar, had said previously that she wanted to provide an incentive to the Indian team players by baring all. It is not known if her offer will be welcomed or not.
Although Poonam says that she is a diehard supporter of Indian team and it was not a publicity stunt, the widespread media attention has been no less than one. The Times of India featured a photograph of Poonam wearing a skimpy bikini.

Lady Gaga – loosing virginity was 'terrible', didn't enjoy sex until 'two years ago'.
American pop singer-songwriter Lady Gaga has revealed her sex life in the new issue of Grazia magazine of Britain. She has revealed that she lost her virginity when she was a teenager, at the age of 17. She however told that the first experience was ”terrible” and added that she wasn’t fully prepared for sex at that time.
Lady Gaga is popular for her "unique" fashion sense with odd costumes and accessories.

Bandanna – head apparel for fashion and comfort

Sadichha stood out in Miss World ramp with peacock feather dress.
In the Miss World modeling round, the audience clearly gasp and applaud when Miss Nepal 2010, Sadichha Shrestha, opened up her peacock feathered dress (skip to 1:30 in the video below to see it for yourselves). The dress was made out of Allo from Taplejung district in Nepal with peacock feathers attached to it. The designer of the dress are Uttam Banepali and Shiba Shrestha of Uttam Creations, Kupondole. The dress weighing 6 kg took 5 workers for 15 days to finish.

Poojana Pradhan's bikini photos removed
After the threat to sue the modeling website cybersansar.com, model turned actress Poojana Pradhan’s photos were removed from the website. Poojana has told that the website is misusing the photos.The photos in question were shot in bikini in the banks of Narayani river. The hot photos are considered to be the ones that established her in the modeling and eventually as an actress. While talking about the signature photos she told that – they were good enough to start with but now, as a established actress she can’t afford to have such bikini clad photos around.

Do Nepali Models fit in Model criteria ?
The British Association of Model Agents (AMA) says that female models should be around 34-24-34 in (86-61-86 cm) and at least 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) tall.
How many of the Nepali models are taller than 5 ft 8 in ? I suspect none.
Wikipedia defines a model as ‘a person who is employed for the purpose of displaying and promoting fashion clothing or other products and for advertising or promotional purposes or who poses for works of art.’
- How many of them are posing for ‘works of art’? Probably, none.
- How many of the internet models are ‘promoting fashion clothing’ or other product ? A very small number of them, I believe.
Some of you might say that the definition of model, in this digital age, is changed. I agree, and I also believe so. But, there is still something amiss, odd, or awkward on the way our modeling industry is shaping up. I have lost track of the beauty contests, being held every other day — and I won’t be writing about them anymore unless they are ‘big enough’ like Miss Nepal. These ‘model manufacturing’ contests might be one of the reason there are so many models around.
When you can’t fit it in the traditional definition, you should redefine term itself so that, everybody fits in it. Then, what is the definition of Nepali version of Model ?

Khagendra and Miss Nepal – NTB's Goodwill Ambassadors
The shortest man in the world, Khagendra Thapa Magar and top three Miss Nepal contest winners including Miss Nepal 2010, Sadichha Shrestha, first runner-up Sahana Bajracharya, and second runner-up Sanyukta Timsina were chosen the Goodwill Ambassadors of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) for the promotion of tourism in Nepal. Khagendra’s theme message reads: "Shortest man in the world from the highest mountain in the world invites you to visit Nepal."
Miss Nepal Sadichha was appointed the Brand Ambassador of Nepal Tourism Year 2011 (NTY-2011) in the first week of September. She is also the conservation ambassador of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Nepal.

Kantipur is enlightened – Miss Nepal, Sadichha got interviewed
Kantipur didn’t know when Miss Nepal 2010 was held (at least its loyal readers don’t). Last time, I questioned their loyalty to their readers and specifically asked for their explanation. I wrote emails to the kantipur officials, with the links to those posts about Miss Nepal and Kantipur. But, they played deaf (attached email screenshot), yet again! It was not the first time I didn’t get a reply from them. Last time, when I wrote about Smita Thapa and Maya Bazin, my emails didn’t get any reply. A hat-trick of no replies is enough to prove that that the Kantipur officials are self-centered, short-sighted, and don’t know their responsibilities.
