The older of the two, Madan Krishna Shrestha is a trained singer.
Madan Krishna was born on Baishakh 7, 2007 BS in Jitpur Phedi, Kathmandu to to father Ram Krishna Lal Shrestha and mother Laxmi Devi Shrestha. He married Yeshoda Shrestha at the age of 24. They have a son, Yaman Shrestha and a daughter, Shrana Shrestha.

The comedy serial ‘Syabaas’ is a presentation of MaHa Sanchar in association with Antenna Foundation Nepal. ‘Syabaas’ marks the comeback of MaHa in Nepali comedy telefilms after a pause. The child artist in the movie is Sony Thakur. The 6-Episodes-long telefilm was broadcasted in television in December 2013 – January of 2014.
A presentation of MaHa in association with ICIMOD and IASS, the telefilm ‘Dhuwa’ is about the air pollution caused by smoke. The telefilm is prepared to create awareness among Nepali people to inform about the disadvantage of open fire. The telefilm also uses parrot animation with MaHa’s voice over.
Like all other MaHa comedy, this telefilm is funny and informative at the same time. Hari Bamsha is featured as a resident of Terai region. The telefilm was broadcasted in television in October.

Nepali movie ‘Basudev’ is a presentation of Binod Chaudhari, currently the richest person in Nepal, the only billionaire from Nepal who made it to the Forbes’s list of the richest people in the world. The movie based on the story of Dr. Dhruba Chandara Gautam “Kattel Sir Ko Chotpatak”. The movie is the debut movie of actor Krishna Malla. His current wife featured his opposite in the movie is Sharmila Shah who later became Sharmila Malla after marrying Krishna. It is a possibility that the love affair between the two started at the set of the movie.
In a special ceremony held in Kathmandu on September 20, 2015, the new constitution of Nepal was unveiled by the president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav at the Constitution Assembly (CA) in Kathmandu. The constitution was written after an 8-years-long writing process spanning two Constitution Assemblies. Although there are still some people who are not satisfied by the new constitution, ninety percent of CA members had endorsed it. The citizens of Terai region have complained that the Constitution hasn’t incorporated their demands. As the new Constitution can easily be amended by 2/3 majority in the parliament, all the concerns can easily be incorporated in future amendments. According to reports, the new Constitution is the most democratic Constitution in the history of Nepal. On the completion of the lengthy constitution writing process, the film artists have welcomed it and have congratulated everybody for the achievement. On the proposal of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, starting this year, June 21 is being celebrated as the International Yoga Day. Although the popularity of yoga in our Nepali celebrity circle doesn’t seem to be that much, we have collected and shared the experiences and best wishes of some celebrities on the Yoga Day.
Actress Namrata Shrestha says that, her father had introduced Yoga to her. These days, she practices meditation and relaxation – one of the branches of yoga.
The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu had organized a Yoga workshop to mark the International Yoga Day. The comedy duo MaHa (Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bamsha Acharya) participated in the event. In his Facebook post, Madan Krishna has said, “Happy International Day of Yoga. We did Yoga today in Indian Embassy and in Pashupati area. Yoga is good for health, brain and prosperous life.”

On Wednesday, May 7 a press meet was organized at Briks Café in Kupondole, Lalitpur to inform about MaHa Jatra 2071. The stage show of the popular comedy duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya is being organized after a long time.
In the press meet Rajaram Poudel and Kiran KC had proposed to term the duo the ‘Hasya Samrat’. In response, Haribansha told that they were content with the title ‘MaHa’ for now. He also told that it was Rajaram who had first called them MaHa during the stage show ‘Bigyapan’. After that, the duo is known as MaHa – a word meaning honey in Nepali.

A luxurious movie theater has started its operation in Kathmandu. The theater located in Civil Trade Center (CTC) in Sundhara, Cine-De-Safe, features luxurious seating arrangement and restaurants. Chinese, Thai and Indian Continental foods are served to the movie goers. It features breakfast, lunch and dinner for the movie viewers. The theater runs a five-star kitchen to serve it’s guests.
Out of the two theaters in CCT mall’s seventh and eighth floors, one is cine dine and another cine. Cine dine theater has 58 luxury sofas. The sofas can be folded up to 180 degrees and they also feature message while being seated. There are tables to serve foods to the viewers. Individual lights are also provided in each table for the ease in eating while watching movies.
