I have compiled the list of seven Nepali actresses with the first pay they got for their role in a movie. The actresses include: Gauri Malla, Neeta Dhungana, Shristi Shrestha, Keki Adhikari, Neeta Dhungana, Surabina Karki, Jharana Thapa, Deepa Shree Niraula
Watch the video report:
In addition to these actresses the following list contain some of the Nepali actors who had told their first income:
Dayahang Rai was paid Rs. 10,000 for the role in his first movie, ‘Anagarik’. Actor Aryan Sigdel had worked for free in ‘Kismat’. The producer Chhabi Raj Ojha hadn’t paid any money to Aryan. Similarly actor Jiwan Luitel also worked for free. He also debuted in Chhabi Raj Ojha’s movie. Based on these facts, I can safely tell that all the actors who debuted in Chhabi Ojha’s movies didn’t get any pay for their roles.
In a latest report, ‘Dreams’ actress Samragyee RL Shah has signed in the actress Jharana Thapa‘s directorial debut movie ‘E Mero Hajur 2’. According to reports, Samragyee was paid Rs. 5 lakh for her role in the movie. The amount is a huge amount to be paid to an actress in the Nepali movie industry. Video report:
The original ‘A Mero Hajur’ was directed by late director Shiva Regmi and featured Jharana Thapa and late Shree Krishna Shrestha in leading role. The new movie will feature new actors but, there has been no words on who the lead actor be to be featured opposite to Samragyee.
There are different types of mothers in Nepali film industry. Some mothers are celebrity mothers others are housewife mothers. I found a nice compilation of different types of mothers in which some mothers are like Sunita Paneru, the mother of actress Archana Paneru. Sunita did something no other Nepali mothers have done or might do to her daughter. It is strange, how a mother can encourage her daughter to smokes and drink. That is the reason she is in the top of the list.
Watch the video:
Other mothers are celebrity mother themselves like actress Karishma Manandhar, Jharana Thapa, and Suvekshya Thapa. All these mothers have grown up daughters who are old enough to be featured as actresses. Despite of their old age, they still are featured as young girls in the movies.
On the Nepali Mother’s Day, I have collected the mothers of some of the Nepali actresses in the past.
