First look of Mahasush released
The first look of the movie directed by Nawal Nepal, ‘Mahasush’ was released in a program held in Union House in Anamnagar. In the program, Nawal told that the movie is about a heart-touching social issue. Nawal’s previous venture as a director ‘Shreeman’ was considered a successful movie.

Second generation film artists in Nepali movie industry
Nepali movie industry is largely influenced by Indian movie industry, Bollywood. Similar to Bollywood, it is easier for the kids of actors and film technicians to enter the film industry. Some of the names of second generation artists in Nepali industry include:
Samyam Puri - son of director Narayan Puri started in movies as a child artists and had debuted as an adult actor in ‘Samaya’.

Bhaitika of Nepali actors and actresses
Today is Bhai Tika, the main day of Tihar. On this day, brothers and sister offer tika and gifts to each others and wish longevity of the lives of each other. We have collected information about how some of the actors and actresses in Nepali movie industry celebrate Bhai Tika.
All three sisters of actor Rajesh Hamal live in the US. As he is currently in the US, Rajesh will celebrate Bhai Tika with his sisters after a long time. In previous years, Rajesh Hamal used to celebrate Bhai Tika with Maina Suchikar (Maina has recently died).

Actress Namrata Shrestha has two elder brothers and she celebrates Bhai Tika with them. For gifts, Namrata offers sweets and other undisclosed gifts to her brothers on the day.

'Biteka Pal' shooting started in Kathmandu
After a year of preparation, the shooting of ‘Biteka Pal’ started on the day of its producer Rajesh Ghatani’s birthday. The shooting started in White Gumba in Shyambhu, Kathmandu on Wednesday November 7, 2012.

The movie repeats the ‘Bato Muniko Phool’ team again with few new additions. The movie will also be directed by Suraj Subba ‘Nalbo’ and will feature Baboo Bogati in lead role and he is being accompanied by actress Keki Adhikari.

'Mutu' premiered in USA
Nepali movie ‘Mutu’ was premiered in Dallas, Texas on October 6, 2012 Saturday in Funasia theater. The world premier ceremony of the movie attracted a lot of Nepali resident in Dallas. Out of the fund raised from the show, one fifth of the fund was donated to and organization working for less privileged women and children, Devi Sahara Foundation, Nepal.

The Nepali viewers had a mixed response with many appreciating the movie. For the benefit of viewers who can’t understand Nepali language, English sub-titles were also added in the movie.

Keki Adhikari selected Brand Ambassador of Miss Nepal US 2012
Nepali actress Keki Adhikari is selected the brand ambassador of the second edition of Miss Nepal USA, to be held in the USA. As a brand ambassador, Keki will help in the promotion of the event.
Nepali actor, living in USA, Saroj Khanal is also selected as the cultural coordinator of the event.

I am Sorry – Movie Review
It took 18 months to complete in sharp contrast to Nepali movies these days that, get packed up within one-two months of shooting. The movie "I am Sorry" is an important movie to determine the future of its actors, actress, script writer and the director in their film career. The movie featuring Aryan Sigdel and Keki Adhikari in the lead role was released on February 10, 2012 in theaters across Nepal.

Dashain Tika of celebrities of Nepali movie industry
Nepali movie crew including the actors and actress were in festive mood in the Dashain. All the shootings were halted for the biggest festival in Nepal. Most of the crew members celebrated with tika and jamara.

The drama, Masan is also taught as one of the electives in schools in Nepal and India.The shooting of the movie has started on Ashad 1, 2068. Nir Shah had been preparing the set, representing the old setting of the story, for the movie.

Keki Adhikari – ‘you won’t see me in valueless movies’
Newcomer actress, Keki Adhikari, is considered an actress with a lot of potential in the Nepali movie industry. Q. How would you you introduce Swor?
A. Swor is a movie consisting of a totally new taste in the Nepali film industry. It’s a musical movie about the friends of college who forms a band and the movie is about the band and their dreams.
