April 5 release – Vigilante 3D and Kisan
Two Nepali movies ‘Vigilante 3D’ and ‘Kisan’ are released in theater on Friday, April 5. The movie ‘Vigilante’ is the first Nepali movie made in 3D technology. Another release, ‘Kisan’ was completed 2010 but wasn’t released in theater.

Made on the story of farmer, ‘Kisan’ is a movie directed by Bimal Poudel and features Rajesh Hamal, Ganesh Upreti, Nandita KC, Neeta Dhungana, Nir Shah, Rajesh Dhungana, and Mausami Malla, Chetan Sapkota in main roles. The movie is presented by Basanta Kumar Shrestha and is made under the banner of Kaligandaki Cine Max. The movie features the music of Chetan Sapokota, cinematography of Raju KC and action of Roshan Shrestha.

Mausami Malla outburst on Censor Board, Samaya got U rating at last
After postponing the release of the movie during the strike of film artists, Mausami Malla‘s movie ‘Samaya’ faced hurdles in the Censor Board at the time of it’s release. After negotiations on removing and editing objectionable movie scenes, the movie managed to get an ‘U’ certificate – suitable for the audience of all ages.

‘Samaya’ releasing on February 15
After the agreement with the government, the film artists have ended their protest and the hunger strike. The end of the protest has also helpde to decide on the release date of Mausami Malla‘s movie ‘Samaya’.

Uncertainty in the release of Timro Lagi, Padmini and Samaya
Due to the hunger strike and protest of film artists, the release of new movies are uncertain. The movies scheduled to release on February 1 are Arun Khadka’s ‘Timro Lagi’, Mausami Malla‘s ‘Samaya’ and Basanta Kumar Shrestha’s ‘Padmini’.

Mausami had previously clarified that the movie release will be postponed if the protest didn’t end by the release date. ‘Samaya’ is the debut movie of Mausami’s son Vicky Malla and the actress Surabhi Bista.

Film Artists start an indefinite hunger strike
The rely-hunger strike of film artists has ended on the 12th day of it’s start. In the mean time, the government has ignored the protesting artists and has unilaterally appointed the chief of Film Development Board. Today, at 11:00 AM a press meet was organized to start a hunger strike toll death to create more pressure to the government.

The participating artists in the hunger strike include Bimal Poudel, Agraj KC, Surya Regmi, Neela Basnet, Mukesh Dhakal and Ananta Timilsina.

Vicky Malla and Surabhi Bista in hunger strike
Actress Mausami Malla‘s son Vicky Malla was seen in the hunger strike of film artists with his co-star in ‘Samaya’, Surabhi Bista. After debuting in Nepali movie industry in ‘Samaya’ two of them are usually seen together and they were sitting together in the hunger strike.

With tika on their forehead and flower garlands on their neck, they look like married couple. When a journalist asked them about being together in the strike, tried to imply that the togetherness was a mere coincidence.

Film workers in strike – FDB to be locked down on Wednesday
9 different organizations of film workers have united to force the government to comply with their demand. It has been almost three weeks a 9-point agreement was signed between film workers and minister of communication Raj Kishor Yadav. But, the agreement hasn’t been implemented. The film workers are going to lock down the Film Development Board office to force the government to comply with the agreement.

In a press meet organized on January 8, 2013, the lock down on Wednesday was announced. In the program, Suresh Darpan Pokharel, Nir Shah, Manoj KC, Yogendra Shrestha, Dinesh Pakhrin, Mausami Malla, Nawal Khadka, Raj Kumar Rai and Bimal Poudel spoke on their demands.

3-days-long hunger strike of Bimal, Agraj and Mausami ended
Hunger strike of film related people ended today (Thursday) at 4 pm after Minister for Information and Communications, Raj Kishor Yadav agreed to fulfill their demands and offered juice to the strikers.

President of Director Society, Bimal Poudel, Secretary of Director Society, M.S. Agraj and President of Women Film Actors’ Association, Mausami Malla were in hunger strike asking the government to fulfill their 9 points demand. Poudel started the hunger strike on Monday saying that he won’t eat anything until the demands were met. Supporting Poudel’s demand, Agraj joined from Tuesday and Malla joined them on Wednesday.
In a report, Mausami Malla was diagnosed of a tumor near her uterus and had just finished a 10-day-long bed rest prior to the hunger strike. Although her friends had asked her not to join the strike, she had insisted on participating in the strike, instead of meeting the doctor to schedule the date of the surgery.
Minister Yadav and President of National Film Protection Committee, Nir Shah, has signed jointly in the paper with 9 points demand and minister Yadav has assured to implement them at the earliest and that president of Film Development Board will be appointed by tomorrow (Friday).

Vickey and Surabhi debut with a lot of hot scenes in 'Samaya'
The son of Mausami Malla, Vickey Malla is debuting in Nepali movie industry with his first movie ‘Samaya’. The movie will also introduce new actress, Surabhi Bista. In their debut movie, the couple have give a lot of hot scenes.

‘Samaya’ features two generation of character in which Rajesh Hamal and Mausami Malla are featured
in the first generation followed by Vickey Malla and Surabhi Bista representing the second generation couple. In the movie Vickey and Surabhi are featured in a lot of lip-locks and bed scenes. The movie is produced by Bhadra Kumari Sen, written by Brajesh Khanal and directed by Dayaram Dahal. -
Govinda Rai's Nagbeli announced
Announcement ceremony of an upcoming movie ‘Nagbeli’ was organized in Maitidevi temple in Kathamndu on Laxmi Puja, November 13, 2012. Director Govinda Rai’s movie is being produced by Mankumar Chemjong and Romiyan Limbu. The movie is being made on the story of Dipendra Lama. With this movie, Govinda Rai is debuting as a director in Nepali movie industry.

Mausami Malla’s son debuts in ‘Samaya’
Actress Mausami Malla has produced a new Nepali movie ‘Samaya’ to debut her son Bikki in leading role. The movie will also feature actress Surabhi Bista in her debut role. This movie is the 41st movie directed by it’s director, Dayaram Dahal.

A program was organized in Kathmandu to release the promotional video and the poster of the movie. In the program, the film was told to be made on a story of clash between two generation. The old-generation couple are represented by Rajesh Hamal and Mausami Malla and the new-generation are represented by Shurabhi and Bikki.
