Vatsala Sharma won the Miss India Worldwide Nepal pageant organized on 6th March, 2010. The event was previously announced to be held on 27th of February but no reason was given for the delay.
23 year-old Sharma will represent Nepal in the Miss India Worldwide, a contest among non-resident Indian beauties in Durban on March 27. Vatsala also bagged Miss Beautiful Skin in the event held at Kathmandu on Saturday.
The 5 ft 6 inch India born beauty holds a degree in Business Studies from Pilani in Rajasthan. A total of 12 out of the 46 applicants of Indian-origin, aged between 18 and 27, were selected for the pageant.
The title of first runner-up handed over to Aiman Khan, a 19 year-old beauty. Mangolika Chakravarty, 23, became the second runner-up in the contest. Chakravarty, a radio jokey, also bagged Miss Friendship and Miss Talent.
These days there are numerous beauty contest being held in Nepal and one more contest is going to be held in February.
