In DM Babu Surace commented: ‘Masan’ is a good movie. The dialogue/script could have been made better. The set of the movie is also not good. It seems some actors have done over-acting and others sub-standard acting. The background music is not good. He also says that there is no “masala” that is available in most other commercial movies (i.e. it is dull!).
@AnandNepal सेट डिजाइनिङ बिलकुल मिलेन। मलाइ लाग्छ पुर्बतयारी बिलकुल छैन।।

He adds, Nir Shah would have looked better than Keshav Bhattarai in the role of the father.
