Shakuntala Sharma – a new actress from Sikkim

Shakuntala Sharma is a new entry in Nepali movie industry, from Sikkim, India.  The 21 years old beauty is 5 feet and 4 inches tall and is a gradate in English (BA) from Loreto college Darjeeling.

Shakuntala debuted in Paristhiti, a movie on AIDS, media and Darjeeling. Directed by Bhavesh Thakuri, Paristhiti, helped Shakuntala to snatch a Best Actress award.

Trained in professional acting from Reel in Real out Acting Studios, Kandivily, Mumbai, Shakuntala has a huge potential in movies. Apart from acting in Paristhiti, Shakuntala has also done some Hindi TV serials like – Balika Vadhu and Who Rehne Wali Mehlon ki, an unreleased music video by Mantra, some theatre drama and small plays for social causes in Mumbai.

Shakuntala has recently signed a music video for Kapil Thapa’s album, Samman. The album is produced by Suresh K. Lama.


Shakuntala likes reading books and net surfing. One of her desire is to act with high caliber actors like Manoj Bajpay and Pankaj Kapoor.
