The movie featuring Bhuwan KC in lead role, ‘Black Diary’ was the solo release of May 5, 2017. The movie is competing with the South Indian super hit movie ‘Bahubali 2’. Because of the popularity of the movie, no other producers have risked to be shaded by the Indian film. According to the report, ‘Babhubali 2’ has been running with record breaking response of the viewers.
According to reports, ‘Black Diary’ is being released quietly in single screen theatre. A presentation of journalist Sabin Shakya, the movie is directed by Sujan Ghimire. Bhuwan has neatly applied purple colour on Jiya KC’s nose and cheek. Red and green colours are applied on her forehead. A new movie ‘Rajja Rani’ was announced at the time of Valentine Day week. In the event organized to announce the new movie, Keki Adhikari and Nazir Hussien shared rose and heart shaped ballon. It is not only in the Nepali movie industry, divorce among Nepali couple has been in the increasing trend these days. This might be because, compromising is not in the cards of today’s youth. I think, there is nothing wrong to get out of the relationship that is not working out. But, divorce also brings a lot of pain and problems to the both the couple involved. The traditional Nepali society has made it even worse by tagging them ‘bad example’ to the society.
This post was originally written on Jan 29, 2012. In the mean time I had updated it to reflect the changes in the status of Nepali artists. I think, it is the time to rewrite the whole post.
2016 – Rekha Thapa and Chhabi Raj Ojha have officially divorced after 4 years of unofficial divorce after a decade of living together. They signed the legal paper and make it legal in August of 2016. Right after the divorce, Chhabi has told that he is planning to get married for the fourth time. Will he marry the actress Shilpa Pokharel or is he using the controversy only to promote his movie – that is a huge mystery of the Nepali movie industry.

A biography of Bhuwan KC was being written in 2015. Before earthquake I had reported about the completion of writing but, Bhuwan was yet to review the book. After that, a lot of things happened in Nepal – earthquake was the most dreadful thing that happened in a couple of weeks after I wrote the article.
After earthquake, Bhuwan completed his directorial debut movie ‘Dreams’. The movie was successful beyond expectation. The movie established Samragyee RL Rana as the most sought after actress in the Nepali movie industry. That was also the hat trick of hit movies of Bhuwan’s son Anmol KC. But, the biography of Bhuwan KC was forgotten.

Kamal Dhakal of Ghost writing Nepal was writing the biography
Ghost Writing Nepal had made a deal of Rs. 235,000 for the book. The deal was signed in January 2015.
The book was initially titled ‘Playboy’. Bhuwan objected to it and renamed ‘Superstar’.
The book was delayed when Bhuwan didn’t finished reviewing the book in time (April 2015).
It seems, Bhuwan KC has already married actress Jiya KC. By the way, Jiya was posing in a photo between Bhuwan’s mother and father with Bhuwan KC and Anmol KC by the side, it seems she was a part of the family.

The rumour of the affair between Bhuwan KC and Jiya KC started in 2012.
In 2012 there were reports of:
Bhuwan KC visiting ‘ATM’ shooting sets to meet Jiya.
They were also spotted together in restaurants.
In one interview, Jiya had also admitted going to Bhuwan KC’s home and staying there for a night.
Jiya had told that she would love to marry Bhuwan KC.
But, both of them had told that they were only friends and they didn’t have an affair (and they continued to say that till now).

Was Sharmila Malla looking for an experienced man?
Among the actresses mentioned in the video, actress Sharmila Malla is the only actress who had been the fourth wife, others are either third or the second wives of their husbands. It is surprising how Sharmila roped-in her husband, Krishna Malla, into her love and stopped his marrying-spree. Krishna Malla had already married three women in a young age but stopped marrying new girls after marrying Sharmila in the last 30-years they are living together.
Now, the main question, was Sharmila attracted to Krishna Malla because of his previous experiences with various women? May be, experience pays off. While preparing the list, I felt like adding the names of some additional actors at the end after talking about the top 10.

The Film Artists Association of Nepal (FAAN) organized the first ever film awards in Kathmandu on July 2, 2016. In the award ceremony ‘Pashupati Prasad’ was awarded the best movie of the year. The awards were awarded in 24 different categories. The prime minister, KP Oli, was the chief guest of the event.
The actor and the actress of ‘Classic’ Aryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha were awarded the best actor and actress of the year in the ceremony.
