Rekha Thapa announces, no Nepali award for her movies

Nepali actress Rekha Thapa has announced that she and her home production movies won’t participate in any Nepali movies award ceremony. She has accused the organizers of manipulating them to award the films of their choice based on personal influences and money.

Rekha has termed all the award ceremonies in Nepal as ‘Room Awards’.

This is not the first time Rekha has expressed her dissatisfaction. Last year, at this time Rekha had accused National Award organizers of asking money for award. She didn’t even go to receive one award she won at that time. Rekha was also accused of not participating in an award ceremony when she couldn’t persuade the organizers to hand her the Best Actress Award.

‘Saayad’ wins best film award in National Film Award 2069

With 7 awards, Nepali movie ‘Saayad‘ won the best film award in the National Film Award 2069. The film award ceremony was held on the occasion of 50-years of Nepali movies at Tribhuvan Army Club, Sundhara.

In addition to receiving ‘Hira’ Best Movie award, and ‘Kusume Rumal‘ Best Professional Movie Award, following ‘Saayad’ crew members were awarded five other National awards:

Audio release of the movie 'Fullstop'

The audio of an upcoming movie of hot acterss Binita Baral, ‘Fullstop’ was released in a press meet organized in Rose Mero Café, Baneshowr on Monday August 27.

In the program the chief guest of the ceremony were director Shovit Basnet and the president of film journalist association, Bidur Giri. ‘Fullstop; lead actress Binita Bara, lead actor Sabin Shrestha, director Kamalkrishna and pro
ducer Mohan Krishna Shrestha and Beni Jyoti Guvajhu were also present in the event.

The movie has recently got an ‘A’ certificate, meaning – only suitable for  the viewers above 16 years-old. The movie is going to be released in Bhadra 15.
