About ‘Superhit’

A presentation of Moviez Infinity Creation and Arjun Thapa, Nepali movie ‘Superhit’ wasn’t as successful as the name suggest. The movie jointly written and directed by Niranjan Pandey, Saurabh Dhakal and actress Beenita Baral (credited for story, dialogue and screenplay). The playback singer in the movie are Sabin Rai, Yuskey KC, Niranjan Pandey, and Suresh Rai, the music director is Suresh Rai. Lyrics in the movie are jointly written by Suresh Rai, Binita Baral, and Niranjan Pandey. Background score by Alish Karki, cinematography by Rupon Poudel and Niraj Kadel, editor of the movie is Niranjan Pandey, and the action by Surya Thokar.

At the time of the release of the movie actress Binita Baral was in the USA. As she had broken up with the production team, she didn’t help in its promotion.

Friday Release – Radha and Pardeshiko Umang

On this Friday, October 28, 2016 two new movies were released in theatre – Yogesh Ghimire’s ’Radha’ and Shiva Sharma’s ‘Paradeshiko Umanga’ and Hikmat Bista’s ‘The Winner’. The movies are expecting a high turnout in theatre on the holiday season of Tihar.

The movie featuring Jiwan Luitel and Sanchita Luitel in leading role is a love story movie. The characters meet during a bus travel and then come close. The movie is about a problem in their relationship. The movie features the music of Basanta Sapkota, direction of Yogesh Ghimire, action of Himal KC, choreography of Kabiraj Gahatraj, editing of Arjun GC and Milan Shreatha, cinematography of Man Krishna Shrestha and script of Pradeep Bhardwoj.

Chapali Girl Binita Baral found a new boyfriend in the USA

Actress turned – farmer, farmer turned student, student turned writer – Binita Baral has found a new boyfriend. The actress of the super hit movie ‘Chapali Height’, left the film industry to start organic farming after the failure of her second movie ‘Fullstop’. Last year, she got an opportunity to study in the USA and is living in Atlanta for the last one year.

Binita was recently back to Nepal to release her novel, ‘Junio’. The book received a wide publicity and was liked by the readers. During the launch of the book, she had revealed the breakup of her previous relationship and told that she is looking for a new relationship. And, she found a guy, also studying in the USA in a university in Ohio, Tilak Poudel. It’s about 10 hours of drive from the place Binita lives to the place Tilak lives. Tilak and Binita were together recently and they have decided to unveil their relationship status.

In an interview with Kantipur daily, Binita also told that they are planning to get married in July of 2017. By that time, Binita will graduate.

Tilak is originally from Syangja and is a PhD student in the USA. Both aged 28 years old, Tilak is two days older than Binita.

Binita Baral flying to the USA to do MBA in Agriculture Business

Actress Binita Baral has truly become an ex-actress as she is flying to the USA on August 30, 2015 to pursue MBA in Agriculture Business. She has told that she has received full scholarship for the course.

Binita became a new sensation in the Nepali film industry when her debut movie ‘Chapali Height’ became a huge success (watch ‘Chapali Height’ here). But, the failure of her second movie ‘Full Stop’ (watch ‘Full Stop’ here) cause a break of her acting career. She started agriculture business with some partners in 2013.

Beauty in paddy field, Nepali actress photo shots in Asar 15

The mud-filled festival of farmers, celebrated on Asar 15, is now largely show off rather than an actual festival. In the past, when most of the people in Nepal were farmers, it was the festival to start the cropping season. The marriage between work and fun is filled with celebration. These days, Asar 15 has been the celebration for photo-op and tourism. Nepali actresses have taken this opportunity to shot music videos and modeling photos in paddy field.

Actress Binita Baral is the only actress who is actively involved in farming. After she started farming, she hasn’t appeared in any movies. Binita Baral out of Chapali Height sequel, search going on for new actress

The Chapali Girl, the actress of ‘Chapali Height‘, actress Binita Baral is out of the sequel of the movie ‘Chabali height 2’. According to the producer Arjun Kumar has told that he had kicked her out of the movie because of her ego problem. But, Binita says that she has chosen not to do the movie. According to a report in an online portal, Arjun Kumar is looking for a new face to replace Binita Baral in the sequel. The  relationship between Arjun Kumar and Binita had also turned sour over the cover design of the movie (read the height of controversy over ‘Chapali Height‘). The government had objected the nudity in the cover and was asked to change it. The order had cost the film makers some Rs. 250,000 to redesign and reprint the posters.

Deapawali is the festival of lights and color. Nepali artists celebrate the festival with a lot of jest and enthusiasm. Laxmi, the goddess of wealth is worshipped along with money and wealth. Oil lights and electric lights are lighted in and around the house.

In a new trend, colorful rangoli are drawn with depiction of Laxmi’s feet on rice flour to guide the goddess of wealth into the house.  Here are some photos of the Deepawali celebration in the homes of some of the Nepali film artists.

In a music video award ‘Rastriya Rapti Music Award 2070’ to be held soon, all the nominated music video models are actresses. The nominated actresses include: Keki Adhikari, Binita Baral, Nandita KC, Jharana Thapa, and Shilpa Pokharel. Four out of the five nominated models are established film actress. Binita Baral requests to get polio vaccine to children on polio vaccination day (video)

Nepal Government’s polio vaccination campaign is going on in 68 districts all over Nepal. The oral vaccine given to children 5-years-old and younger will help children from getting polio. Nepal is yet to eradicate the disease and it is closer to it’s target.

To help the government in polio eradication, actress Binita Baral has created a video to convey the importance of vaccination. She has asked everybody to take eligible kids to vaccine clinics.

Binita Baral – in Go Organic movement

Actress Binita Baral participated in a rally organized to raise voice against the use of harmful pesticides in agriculture. The ‘Harmful Pesticide Free Week’ is organized by the Agricultre Minsitry of the Government of Nepal and runs from Mangsir 18 to 25 (December 3 to 10). The awareness campaign tries to create awareness to the consumers about the harmful effects of pesticides in agriculture.

In a facebook post, Binita said, we should go organic and stop using pesticides in agriculture. She adds,"Pesticides are positions not medicine." She says, we should raise our voice against the poisionous substance and live a healthy life.

Binita Baral to be featured in Telling a Tale: Kitchen Dramas, starting Dec 6

Actress Binita Baral is doing a play running on December 6, 7 and 8th in Theater Village, Lazimpat. The play by One World Theater is titled "Telling a Tale: Kitchen Dramas". The paly is about personal stories by Nepali girls and women in funny and serious way.

The play is based on the narratives edited by Archana Thapa. The play is adapted and directed by Deborah Merola. The play features actors Binita Baral and Devya Dev. Binita says that the she is enjoying the theater experience.

In media, sex sells farming doesn’t – Binita Baral

Actress Binita Baral has started a new type of business, organic farming. After starting a business of organic farming in June, she has realized that the Nepali media doesn’t care about the betterment of society. When she talked about sex, everybody wrote about her statement. But now, when she talks about farming and agriculture, nobody cares. Binita received lukewarm response in media about her farming business.

Binita says, "At the time when young people are going out of country for job, I have started a business that anybody can start."
