Dramatic demise of Bishnu Bhakta Phuyal, Yo My Love of Tito Satya

In a surprising tragic incident, the senior actor popularly known as ‘Yo My Love’ for his role in popular comedy serial ‘Tito Satya’ had died. The actor was performing in a theatre play at the time of his death. Mid-way in the play, he had suddenly died in the evening of January 3, 2017, Tuesday in Rastriya Naachghar, Jamal, Kathmandu.

The 80-years old actor is the second actor of ‘Tito Satya’ who has died in a month. Last month, another comedy actor popularly known as Ladalam, RP Bhattarai had died. They both have died of heart failure.

Very sad news – RP Bhattarai, Lajalam of Tito Satya has died

The comedy actor popularly known as ‘Lajalam’ of the popular comedy serial ‘Tito Staya’ has died on December 9, 2016. 45 years old comedian has also actress in a number of comedy serials in television.

The overweight actor is known for his dialogue, “Lajalam ho mero naam. Engineer mero kaam.” According to Deepak Raj Giri of ‘Tito Satya’ he used to be worried of being overweight. He was suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes.

RIP Khemraj Gurung, the singer of Wari Jamuna Pari Jamuna

A well known Nepali folk singer and musician Khem Raj Gurung has died in a hospital in Kathmandu at the age of 42. According to the cousin of Khem Raj, Ratna Gurung, the singer had died on August 25, 2016 due to complications caused by jaundice. A liver patient, Khem Raj, was admitted to the hospital ten days before his death after the symptoms of jaundice appeared in his body. He was treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital after his health condition worsened.

Who is Khem Raj Gurung?

Originally from Khandbari of Sankhuwasabha district, Khem Raj Gurung was living with his sons at Sukedhara, Kathmandu residence. Gurung is survived by his wife and two sons. He is considered the only national level singers from Sankhuwasabha district.

RIP BS Thapa, Maitighar and Kanchhi director dies

The director of hit movies ‘Maitighar’, ‘Kanchhi’ and ‘Mayapriti’ has died at 7:30 AM on August 9, 2016 in Mumbai. Thapa had been living at his residence in Mumbai for some time. The last rituals of the late director was performed in Mumbai. Born to mother Laxmi Thapa and father Narayan Singh Thapa, BS Thapa was 93 years old at the time of his death.

Popularly known as BS Thapa, his real name is Bhim Sen Thapa. After the completion of his intermediate studies in Nepal, he went to Lucknow for further studies. He got married to Saraswoti Thapa while he was studying. In a few years, his wife died after giving birth to three sons and a daughter. After the death of his first wife, Thapa had married a second wife.

RIP choreographer Basanta Jung Rayamajhi

A veteran choreographer of Nepali film industry, Basanta Jung Rayamajhi, has died on February 3, 2016, while being treated in Norvic Hospital in Kathmandu. 81-years old Rayamajhi was taken to the hospital when he collapsed at home. The dead body of Rayamajhi is kept at Pragya Pratisthan for the last goodbye till the mid-day on Wednesday. The body is scheduled to be cremated at Pashupati Arya Ghat on the same day.

RIP Cinematographer Deepak Dhakal

Cinematographer Deepak Dhakal has died of brain hemorrhage in the Madhyapur Timi Hospital at about 5:00 on Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was admitted to the Hospital after a heart attack a week ago and he was being treated for the problem.

According to reports, the last rituals of Dhakal was performed in Pashupati Aryaghat late on Thursday.

Dhakal debuted as a cinematographer in ‘Sindoor’. He has worked as a cinematographer in 20 big screen movies and has also worked in a number of movies. He was also professor at the only film teaching institute in Nepal, Oscar College. He was also the member of NEFTA.

RIP Shree Krishna Shrestha mother

The mother of late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha, Jagat Kumari Shrestha, has died suddenly at a hospital in Kathmandu. 88-years old Jagat Kumari was taken to Om hospital for regular checkup on Tuesday. She died at the hospital on Wednesday night, on September 16.

12 years old, award winning, Beiman Kaal actress died in earthquake 2015

In a report received late, an award winning theater actress, Karina Khatri had died in the April 25, 2015 earthquake. The 12-years-old actress had participated in the 6th National Children Theater Festival organized by Shailee Theater and won the Shailee Best Actor award.

Karina had acted in the play titled ‘Beimani Kaal’ meaning Ruthless Death in English. The ruthless death actually took her away only after a couple of months of the festival that ran from February 9 to February 15, 2015. Award winning director Navaraj Khadka had directed the play presented by Charumati English School.

Neeta Dhungana lost her nephew to earthquake

The ‘Chha Ekan Chha‘ actress, Neeta Dhungana, has lost her nephew to the earthquake of April 25. 10-years-old Krishna died while saving his younger sister and his mother. Krishna was the only son of her elder sister.

The family of Neeta’s sister have been mourning the death of Krishna in their residence in Ravi Bhawan, Kalanki.

To an online magazine, Neeta told that Krishna had carried his two younger sisters to safety and was stuck by the falling window of the house when was going inside in search of his mother. Nobody saw Krishna when every started running away from the house. He was killed instantly.

RIP Father of actor Sabin Shrestha

The father of actor Sabin Shrestha has died of brain hemorrhage in a hospital in Bansbari. According to the director Nawal Nepal, 64-years old Laxman Shrestha had died on April 27 at around 4:00 PM.

Laxman Shrestha was rushed to Nuro Hospital when excessive blood pressure caused problem in his head. Laxman is also the father of fashion photographer and music video director, Nabin K. Shrestha.

The organizer of Fanta The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2015 Beauty Pageant, Hidden Treasure Pvt. Ltd. has re-scheduled the Grand Finale from Friday April 17 to Saturday April 18, 2015. The re-scheduling of the contest is done because of the national mourning declared by the Nepal Government on Friday April 17, 2015. The government has declared national mourning on the death of 5-times prime minister of Nepal, Surya Bahadur Thapa.

RIP Anu Shrestha, wife of Purushottam Pradhan died

After 24 days of delivery of her daughter, the wife of well known cinematographer Purushottam Pradhan, Anu Shrestha, has died at her home. According to the report, she had died at around midnight on Thursday. Anu wasn’t feeling well for the last couple of days. The exact cause of the death is not known now.

Purushottam and Anu had been having affair for a long time before getting married. Purushottam and Anu had married this year on Baisakh 26. Anu had given birth to a daughter on Falgun 12.

RIP Pradeep Rimal, Silu director dies at 78

The director of the first Newari film, ‘Silu’ (watch ‘Silu’ here), Pradeep Rimal has died in USA on February 6, 2015. Rimal was living in Washington DC, USA for some time with his family members. On Friday, he was taken to the hospital after sudden pain in his stomach. He died after a while in the hospital.

Born in 1994 (BS) in Lubhu, Lalitpur, Rimal has also directed films like ‘Maya’ and ‘Ke Ghar Ke Dera’. He also worked as the assistant director of the 1966 film ‘Maitighar’ (watch ‘Maitighar’ here) and had acted in the film ‘Hijo Aaja Bholi’. ‘Silu’ was released in 1987 AD.

Alok Nembang, the rising star set too early (photos)

The body of the well known film director and director of music video, Alok Nembang, was kept at Pragya Pratisthan for the last goodbye. Film artists, music video models and technicians and a lot of general public went to see Alok for the last time.

Alok had died after committing suicide at his home on Thursday.

When Alok was studying in grade five, he ran away from home to see Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in Mumbai. In the start of his career, Alok worked as a VJ in Image Channel.  Continue reading

Sad news, Alok Nembang committed suicide

Well known director Alok Nembang has committed suicide at around 8 PM today in his house. The Maharajgunj police has confirmed that he was found hanging in his house.
