A presentation of Suraj Cine Arts Pvt. Ltd., the movie ‘Love Love Love’ is produced by the actor, Suraj Pandey himself. Despite of the director who has directed some good movies in the Nepali film industry, the love story movie wasn’t successful in the box office. The movie ‘Ghampani’ released with this movie took the limelight. The movie was released in April of 2017 (read release news).

The movie features Dayahang Rai, Subash Thapa, Dipsikha Shahi, Om Pratik, Deshbhakta Khanal, Aakash Pal, Ayushma Karki, and Rashmi Bhatta in main roles. The movie is made on a social story about marriage. The movie tries to give a message that marriage should not be forced upon the youngsters. Jeshika Khadka is introduced in a new name in the movie. The actress previously known as Jyoti Khadka had changed her name to Jeshika after her sex scandal with comedy singer, Prakash Ojha. The actress later committed suicide.

Jhola to be rereleased on April 24

The movie made on the age old Sati tradition, ‘Jhola’ is scheduled to re-release on April 24, 2015. The movie sent to Oscar by the Nepali authorities was initially released on February 6, 2014. Although the movie celebrated 51 days in some theaters, the reception of the general public wasn’t that good, despite of good reviews. The xNepali reviewer had recommended it ‘a must watch movie’ (read ‘Jhola’ review in xnepali).

After the actress Garima Pant received the best actress award in SAARC Film Festival 2014, the interest in the movie attained new height. The actress was appreciated by everybody including the president, artists’ association and was honored by the National award. Although the movie couldn’t get the nomination in the Oscars, the movie has received positive responses from various festivals.

Mithila Sharma to get married to Motilal Bohara, signed in The Rebirth

Nepali actress aged half-a-century, Mithila Sharma, is reportedly getting married this year. 74-years-old ex-police chief, Motilal Bohara said to be the groom of the actress. The rumor of an affair between Motilal and Mithila had been going on in the Nepali movie industry for some time. When Bohara’s wife died last year, the path of union between the two opened up.

The historical movie ‘Jhola’ has celebrated 51 days in theater on March 29. We at xnepali wish the film makers on the success of the movie. The success of the movie at the time when majority of Nepali movies have failed to recover their investment is an indication that there is still a market for good movies in Nepal.

Jhola – Movie Review

Nepali movie ‘Jhola’ is a movie made on a popular book by the same name by literary figure, Krishna Dharabasi. The plot set on the Nepali society of the time about a century ago. The movie directed by Yadav Kumar Bhattarai features Garima Pant, Desh Bhakta Khanal, Deepak Chhetri, Laxmi Giri, Pralhad Khatiwada etc. in main roles. The movie made on the banner of Media for Culture Pvt. Ltd. was made after an extensive research on the topic for about 7 years. Based on the novel, late Deepak Alok had written the script of the movie – keeping the core of the book intact. The movie can be categorized as a historical art movie.

Story

The movie presents the height of violence against women in ancient Nepal – Sati tradition. In ‘Jhola’ an young woman (Garima Pant) is married to a man 40 years senior to her. When her husband dies, Garima is burned alive with the dead body of her husband. She escaped the fire and hides in a cave. You can watch the movie to know what happens to Garima and how her underage son helps her.
