Top 10 Attractive Women of 2017, Who are missing ?

For the last few years, the weekly publication of Kantipur, Saptahik had been publishing the list of top 10 Women and Men of the year on the Valentine’s Day. This year’s list include some top women in the country.

The list contains five new entries when compared to the last year’s list. New entries this year are actress Samragyee RL Shah, sports person Gaurika Singh, actress and director Deepa Shree Niraula, actress Keki Adhikari and sports person and actress Sipora Gurung.

The Missing Women

It is good to see the talents like Gaurika Singh and Sipora Gurung in the Top 10 list. But, I think, the list misses some of the Nepali women who had been very attractive because of their good deeds in their respective fields:

Congratulation Mira Rai – The Adventurer of the Year 2017 of National Geographic Channel

Nepali ultra-marathon runner, Mira Rai, has been chosen the the Adventurer of the Year 2017 by the National Geographic Channel. Rai was one of the 10 adventure sports personalities nominated for the award.

Documentary on Mira Rai, the story of a world-recognized mountain runner

Lloyd Belcher has made a short film on a Nepali runner Mira Rai, the winner of Mont Blank Ultra Marathon in 2015. The 80 km long marathon is considered one of the most difficult marathons in the world. 25-years-old ex-Maoist combatant, Rai was disqualified during the combining of the Maoist army and the Nepal army. Rai had a clear win with 22 minutes gap between herself and the second place winner.

The short film made on Mira Rai is also named ‘Mira Rai’ and is scheduled to release on March 30, 2016. The movie shows how a 14-years-old girl became Maoist combatant and how she became world famous mountain runner.
