Movie Songs – Fulai Fulko Mausam Timilai

The audio songs of the upcoming movie ‘Fulai Fulko Mausam Timilai’ are released for the viewers. The title song was released in the PM’s residence in Baluwatar a while ago. Prime Minister Oli had asked the director Dinesh DC to purchase 10 tickets for him. The PM was highly criticized for allowing the film maker to use his government residence for the promotion of the movie.

The music of the songs in the movie are composed by Suresh Adhikari and the lyrics are written by the director Dc and the musician Adhikari. The film makers have told that 78 kg of flowers were used in the shooting of songs in the movie. The love story featuring Neeta Dhungana and Amesh Bhandari is releasing in theater on Falgun 21. There are only two songs in 3 different version of each of them.

Fulai Fulko Mausami Timilai music unveiled at Prime Minister residence, Baluwatar

For the first time in the history of Nepali film industry, the music of a movie is released in the Prime Minister’s official residence. The audio/video of the movie by director Dinesh DC, ‘Fulai Fulko Mausam Timlai’ was released on December 28 by the Prime Minister KP Oli and his wife.

On the request of Dinesh DC, PM’s wife also presented a rose to the Prime Minster. The movie is going to release on theater on Falgun 21. After watching the trailer Prime Minister Oli had asked Dinesh to book 10 tickets for him.

The writer,director and producer Dinesh DC told that the profit from the movie shows to be used to construct a bridge in Dhading. In case the movie fail to make enough profit, DC has promised a sum of Rs. 700,000 to the bridge construction project.

The second biggest festival in Nepal after Dashain, Tihar has been wrapped up on Friday November 13. The last day of Tihar – Bhai Tika is celebrated by brothers and sisters to show their love and dedication to each other. On the occasion, despite of economic blockade from India, people have followed the tradition. Update

The beauty of Bhai Tika is that people make new brothers and sisters during the festival. For example, Takme Budha (Wilson Bikram Rai) and Ashma DC and Sanyukta Puri, Jal Shah and Bikrant Basnet, Nisha Sunar and Suman Budha Magar, Naresh Bhattarai and Sapana Chamling Rai became new brothers/sisters this year.

Singer, journalist and actress Komal Oli made this year’s Bhai Tika memorable by presenting 2-litres petrol to each of her brothers. At the time of petrol-crisis in Nepal, that would certainly made the happiest brothers.

Comedy actress Palpasa Dangol, popularly known as Chamsuri has urine infection and was rushed to emergency room in Teaching Hospital right before Bhai Tika. As she had to be treated in the hospital, her brothers visited Dangol in hospital bed to take Bhai Tika. Palpasa has told that that was one of the most memorable Bhai Tika in her life.

Halloween craze in Nepali artists

The governments won’t let it happen but, the information technology is doing its best to make the world a borderless place. The Western cultural influence has been more evident in the Nepal these days. After the widespread popularity of Christmas, Halloween has also gained some grounds these days. The festival of ghost and scare, Halloween is fun festival for children and adults alike. With the general public some celebrities have also celebrated Halloween this year. Halloween is a festival of remembering the dead people in the family. It is celebrated by the people of Christian faith. But, because of the fun aspects of the festival, people of other religion also celebrate it in Western countries. Costumes, candies and Trick-or-Treating is more like the combination of our Deusi – Bhailo in Tihar and Gaijatra festival.

Top 5 nominations in D Cine Award 2015 (Full list)

The nominations for the upcoming movie award, D Cine Award has been released. The 7th edition of the cinema award is one of the many Nepali film awards being held by various organizations. The Award has teamed up with CG (Chaudhary Group, the business organization of Binod Chaudhary) this year to rename it LG D Cine Award 2072. The award ceremony is scheduled to be held in Mangsir month.

The nomination list is prepared from the movies released in the year 2071 BS. There will be 38 different categories of the award in the award ceremony. The award organizer has told that most of the 82 movies released in the year have participated in the award.

The jury members of the Award ceremony are writer and director Mohan Niraula, journalist and director Bijayaratna Tuladhar, musician Santosh Shrestha, and the first female cinematographer of Nepal Sabanam Mukhiya. Three movies out of the 5 nominations for best movies are available to watch in xnepali.

Friday Release – Luv Sab and Dhoon

This Friday, on September 11, 2015, two new movies are releasing on theater. The movies previously scheduled to release earlier had been pushed back by the earthquake of April 25. The movies releasing this Firday are Krishna Poudel’s ‘Dhoon’, and Dev Kumar Shrestha’s movie ‘Luv Sab’.

Earlier, Shovit Basnet‘s movie ‘Jaun Hida Pokhara’ was also scheduled to release on the date. But it seems, the movie is not going to release this Friday and actor Jaya Kishan Basnet is promoting ‘Luv Sab’. The change makes sense as the director of ‘Jaun Hida Pokhara’, Shovit Basnet is the father of Salon Basnet, the lead actor of ‘Luv Sab’.

Film artists in Teej Songs of 2015

The greatest festival of women, Teej, is mostly a musical festival. The women wear attractive jewelries and clothes in red and dance to the songs composed specifically for the festival. Because of the commercial value of the songs, a lot of new songs are produced this year. It is surprising that the movie actresses have modeled in a lot of those movies. I have compiled a list of songs featuring various actresses.

Among the actresses featured in Teej songs, actress Neeta Dhungana is featured in a lot of them. Other actresses include Sushma Karki, Karishma Manandhar, Reema Bishowkarma, Melina Manandhar, Nandita KC, Benisha Hamal and others. Its not only the actresses, actor Rajesh Hamal is also featured in one of the latest Teej songs.

The movie is a joint presentation of Rimal Enterprise (USA) and Nircinema (Nepal).

Actress Arunima Lamsal is featured in guest appearance role. This movie was Arunima’s comeback movie after she gave birth to a child.

Neeta Dhungana lost her nephew to earthquake

The ‘Chha Ekan Chha‘ actress, Neeta Dhungana, has lost her nephew to the earthquake of April 25. 10-years-old Krishna died while saving his younger sister and his mother. Krishna was the only son of her elder sister.

The family of Neeta’s sister have been mourning the death of Krishna in their residence in Ravi Bhawan, Kalanki.

To an online magazine, Neeta told that Krishna had carried his two younger sisters to safety and was stuck by the falling window of the house when was going inside in search of his mother. Nobody saw Krishna when every started running away from the house. He was killed instantly.

9 actresses launched audio of Adhakatti

The audio of upcoming movie ‘Adhakatti’ was released in a program held in Kathmandu on April 20, 2015 in Kathmandu. The music album, of the movie to release on May 22, was unveiled by a group of nine actresses of Nepali film industry. The actresses in the ceremony include Karishma Manandhar, Jharana Thapa, Deepa Shree Niraula, Namrata Shrestha, Priyanka Karki, Neeta Dhungana, Richa Sharma, Shilpa Pokharel, and Harshika Shrestha

In addition to the release of the album, musical program was held in the event. Gaurav Pahadi, Rista Basnet, Pradeep Bastola, Ashishma Nakarmi and Wilson Bikram Rai danced in the movie song on the stage. Actress Namrata Shrestha also danced in the event. Namrata is featured in an item dance in the movie.

Bhul Bhulaiya premier show didn’t spark the interest

A premier show of upcoming movie ‘Bhul Bulaiya’ was held in Big Cinemas on March 23. The movie by director Yogesh Ghimire received mixed reaction from the audience. The movie featuring Jiwan Luitel, Neeta Dhungana and Sohit Manandhar in leading role was premiered by Jiwan in various places in the USA. In the premier show Neeta and Sohit were present. Jiwan Luitel is yet to return from his USA tour.

‘Bhul Bhulaiya’ is releasing this Friday with ‘Nai Nabhannu La 3’ and ‘Hawaldar Suntali’. The director Yogesh told that he has made ‘Bhul Bhulaiya’ much more commercial than his previous hit ‘Notebook’. In that process, he admitted making some mistakes. The movie made on a love story features a refreshing music. The viewers however weren’t much happy in the presentation of the movie. Negative reaction from the viewers during the premier is likely to hurt the movie business and drive viewers to other movies.

Actress Neeta Dhungana started as a child artist in ‘Mitini’ and she was also featured in few other movies as child artist. Born in Hetauda, Neeta is considered the actress with a lot of potential in Nepali movie industry.

Neeta’s first movie as a leading actress was ‘Hamro Maya Juni Junilai’ (watch the film here) opposite to Mukesh Dhakal and with late actor Shree Krishna Shrestha. The kiss scene between Neeta and Mukesh in the movie was the talk of the film industry at that time. The success of the movie ‘Notebook’ establish Neeta as “Gala Ratai Girl”. Neeta’s movie ‘Masan’ was one of the critically acclaimed movie. ‘Chha Ekan Chha‘s success also added another milestone to Neeta’s acting career.
