The Nepali film ‘Chihan’ by MRB Movies is a murder thriller drama movie. The movie written and directed by Badri Krishna Shrestha was released on July 4, 2014. The movie is P/G certified by the Nepal Film Board.

After the success of ‘Papi Manche’ (watch Papi Manche 1 here) the sequel of the movie named ‘Papi Manche 2’ was produced by the director Deepak Shrestha. The leading actors of the first part, Rajesh Hamal, Karishma Manandhar are however absent in the sequel. Sanchita Luitel and Dilip Rayamajhi are only featured in short special roles. The story of the movie starts after 3 years of the previous one. Two animals featured in the movie are Rockey the dog and Raju the monkey.
Both Poojana Pradhan and Shivam Pokharel have announced that they are in relationships at around the same time. We are NOT SURE if they are in relationship with each others or with some body else.
We have linked them together because, they were linked before too. Although Poojana had rejected such relationship, Shivam had clearly stated "me and my life" in a photo of them (see the screenshot in Nepaliactress.com) on November 19, 2013. At that time, Poojana had responded by saying that she commenting that it was only a rumor. Shivam had later removed the photo and the comment. His comment written on November 21 is still there – "Timi chhau Ra ta Sapana chha sakar Garne chahana chha. I love u my heart."

‘Agni Jwala’ is the second move of Shreebstav Films by Nandu Shreebastav. The multi-starrer movie was a hit movie of the action heroes of the time – Nikhil and Biraj. The movie was shot in Birgunj, Jitpur, Simara, Rampur, Milanchok, Bara and surrounding areas. The movie features the background music of Samrat Thapa, script of Yugesh Rayamajhi, editing of Tara Thapa ‘Kimbhe’, choreography of Shanta Nepali, music of Mahesh Khadka and Sanju Amatya, action of Rajendra Khadgi, and cinematography of Kishor Dhakal.
Two new Nepali movies are releasing on Friday, July 4. Director Badri krishna Shrestha’s movie ‘Chihan’ and Kanchan Shahi’s movie ‘Anautho Prem Katha’ are the new releases of this week.
Director Raju Giri and producer/actor GK Sharma are planning to bring Biraj Bhatt back in Nepali movie in their upcoming movie ‘Yuvraj’. The movie to be made on gangster theme is written by Raju Giri and GK Sharma is the executive producer. The movie to be made under Everest Entertainment, UAE banner, is going to be shot mostly in UAE.
With more than 70 percent scenes shot in UAE, the movie will feature actors like Biraj Bhatt, GK Sharma, Poojana Pradhan, Suvekchya Thapa and others. The director is also in talks with Nisha Adhikari for probable role in the movie.
Changing names is a common practice among Nepali artists for a better name or for good luck. Some astrologers suggest a different names for the success in their career. For example, Bhuwan KC changed his name to a 7-lettered Bhuwann before the release of his movie ‘Sathi Ma Timro‘. It’s a different story, the movie didn’t do well in theater. Actress Binita Baral had also changed her name to Beenita (7-letters) on the suggestion of an astrologer. The result of the change in names were not that exciting. But, that won’t deter people from changing names. Others change to a better sounding names like Shova to Nandita, Radheshyam to Ramit, Nawaraj to Nawal and so on.

Nepali movie ‘Maya Deu Jhai Bho’ is the presentation of Darshana Arts and it was released in both Nepali language and Bhojpuri language. The movie is presented by Deepak Adhikari (Gangaprasad).
Comedy artist Nirmal Sharma is expanding his role in Nepali movie industry in recent days. He had joined hands with Deepak Raj Giri in producing a comedy movie titled ‘Chha Ekan Chh’. His next project is going to be directed by himself and produced by actress Poojana Stri. The movie titled ‘Chocolate’ is going to be made on the story of street child.
A friendly football match, Bhakundo Bhidanta, was held between the film artists and advertisement professionals held in Dasarath Stadium on Saturday May 18, 2013. The film artists lost to the advertisement professionals by 4 to 2 goals.
The artists who participated in the match include actors Rajesh Hamal, Jiwan Luitel, Jitu Nepal, Kiran KC, Hari Bamsha Acharya and actresses Jharana Thapa, Binita Baral, Garima Pant, Poojana Pradhan, Deepa Shree Niraula, Sushma Karki, Nita Dhungana etc. The football match of the artists who couldn’t control the ball was funny and full of enjoyment. Akash Khawas had scored two goals for the artists.
Because of his popularity in Bhojpuri movies, actor Biraj Bhatt hasn’t done many Nepali Nepali movies these days. A new movie of Biraj to be released on this Friday is made in both languages -Nepali and Bhojpuri. The movie made in a budget of IRs. 15 million features a story of love, action and family.
The movie made under Darshana Arts banner is directed by Nirmal KC. With Biraj Bhatt the movie also features Poojana Pradhan, Sonali Joshi, Puskar Bhatt and Binaya Anand in main roles. The actress Sonali Joshi is a actress of South India and Binaya Anand is a close relative of Bollywood actor Govinda. Apart from featuring Indian actors, the movie is mostly shot in Mumbai. The movie features the music of Suresh Adhikari, choreography of Kanu Mukherji, action of Mojil Kaushal and cinematography of Akram Khan.
Actress Poojana Pradhan has told that she can shed all her clothes in a movie if the story requires so. Poojana was criticized for offering hot bed scenes in the latest movie ‘Rakshya‘.
Poojana started her career as a fashion model and her career got a boost when she did bikini shots for an online modeling site. She debuted in the film industry in ‘Hero’ with Rekha Thapa. Although Rekha could become the top actress in the industry, Poojana wasn’t that successful.
A movie made on the story of Badi community, ‘Mero Katha’ was released on the Mid-Western and Far-Western parts of Nepal on March 29. All the actors in ‘Mero Katha’ are new faces in movie industry and two well known actors – Aayush Rijal and Poojana Pradhan are also featured in guest roles (Previous post on Poojana’s role in Mero Katha).
The producer, Rabindra Baral, said that the movie is doing very well in the local theaters. The local Badi community are very excited to see their own life style in the movie.
