Nepali actor Rajesh Hamal is one of the top actors in the Nepali film industry. Often called Maha Nayak (Super Actor), Rajesh Hamal ruled the film industry for about a quarter century. He prefers to tell that the film industry grew with him. Hamal is credited for :
- Bringing professionalism in Nepali film industry.
- Being the first educated actor in the film industry. He had done Masters in English literature from Punjab University in India.
- He is considered a no-nonsense actor. Unlike other actors, Hamal kept himself from having affairs with the actresses. Although there were rumours of his affair, all rumours turned fake. Actresses had termed him as the coldest actor in the film industry.
- Rajesh is a good orator and can easily impress the listener by his oratory skills. Proficiency in his English language is also something not seen in the Nepali film industry.
- The height, looks and the physique have also been factors that attracted youngsters of his time.
Rajesh Hamal Love Story
Actor Rajesh Hamal has told that he still is 25 years old although he has worked in the film industry for the last 27 years. Hamal told the statement in funny way to the crowd gathered in Battar, Nuwakot during his stage performance. Rajesh Hamal told his famous dialogues, told about his previous visits to Nuwakot and danced to the songs by lok singer Sunita Dulal.
My artist of the month, Rajesh Hamal, participated in the 36th annual program of Radha High School, Tanahun on January 23, 2017. In the program. One of the buildings of the school was rebuilt bye Ghashi Adharsha Samaj. Hamal was the chief guest in the building handing over ceremony. He inaugurated the building and handed it over to the school administration. Hamal is also the ambassador of Ghashi Samaj.
Has Rajesh Hamal left the film industry?
These days, Rajesh Hamal is busy in various programs in country and out of country. He hasn’t signed in any movies these days. After the failure of highly anticipated movies like ‘Bagmati’ and ‘Shakuntala’, Rajesh Hamal has been studying scripts before accepting proposals.
Nepali superstar Rajesh Hamal was in Salyan for a cultural program on Janauary 16, 2017. In the event held in Sreenagar, Salyan, Rajesh Hamal was the chief guest and the main attraction. In the stage, Rajesh told that it was his first visit to Salyan was impressed by the warm welcome he received there. For the entertainment of the public, he also told some of his popular dialogues and danced to the songs by other singers on the stage.
Video report of Hamal’s Salyan program:
It was a fun event. People enjoyed Rajesh Hamal’s presence. But, it seems Hamal is ignoring the field that introduced him to those people – films. He has stopped signing new movies after marrying Madhu Bhattarai. A few movies he did after marriage were not successful either. There is no news of any new movies of Rajesh Hamal.

Rajesh Hamal was chosen to be the artist of January, 2017. In the Twitter poll I posted in my account, Rajesh Hamal received 55% votes. The second place went to Rekha Thapa with just 19% votes. The third place winner Karishma Manandhar got 15% and the last was Anmol KC with 11% votes.
I will be preparing videos on the artist of the month – at least one video every week. That is the minimum limit but, there is no upper limit. So, I can make as much video on Rajesh Hamal as I want in January. By the end of the month I will start another poll to chose the artist of the next month.
I started creating videos on Rajesh Hamal today. The first video was about the Rajesh Hamal look alike “Fake and Real Rajesh Hamal” (video attached).
- Fake and Real Rajesh Hamal (Status – completed; uploaded)
- Sandeep Chhetri comedy on Rajesh Hamal (Status – completed; uploaded)
- Rajesh Hamal scandal – First scandal and scoop of the Nepali movie industry (Status – complete)
- Biography of Rajesh Hamal (Status – concept)
- Rajesh Hamal and Karishma Manandhar (Status – concept)

Starting the year 2017, I have decided to feature the artist of the month. For the whole month I will be focused on one particular artist while preparing videos, news and movies.
To choose which artist to feature for the month, I am going to post a poll in Twitter. For the month of January I have posted a poll in Twitter with four options:
- Rekha Thapa
- Rajes Hamal
- Karishma Manandhar
- Anmol KC
At the time of this writing, Rajesh Hamal is leading. Most probably Rajesh Hamal is going to be the artist of the month of January 2016. I will write a separate post for the artist of the month after the 24 hours time limit of the following poll ends. (if you don’t use Twitter, please tell your choice in comment.)

Summary of the speech:
- Rajesh Hamal started his kindergarten in Pakistan when his father was posted at the Nepali Embassy in Pakistan.
- Next year, his father was posted at the Nepali embassy in India. Hamal studied his grade 1 in New Delhi.
- Later, in the 1980s, his father was again posted in New Delhi as the ambassador. Hamal lived in India from the early 80s to 1989, till the time he started acting in Nepali movies.

- But, as the time passed the Nepali movie industry also progresses. His popularity and the film industry grew simultaneously.
- Hamal tells everybody to follow their passion. They should give their inner desire a try.
