Rumours are just rumours, totally unreliable. When facts are doctored and altered to support the rumour, the rumour’s reliability goes down the drain. That is what has happened to the recent rumour of affair between Miss Nepal 2012, Shristi Shrestha and Haku Kale of ‘Loot’, Saugat Malla. Watch the following video report on what had happened:

I read a gossip article in an online film-magazine that Saugat Malla and Shristi Shrestha were seen together watching ‘Jhumkee’. The report says that they had tried their best to keep themselves from the prying eyes. The photo shared in the report doesn’t show faces and there is no other proof on the claim. I would have believed in the report if the second photo of the report weren’t doctored.

Anmol KC to romance with Aditi Budhathoki in Kri, new actress in every movies of Anmol

A model,Â Aditi Budhathoki, is selected to be featured opposite to Anmol KC in his upcoming movieÂ ‘Kri’. With the selection of a new actress in the movie, Anmol KC has worked with a new entry actress in every movies he has been featured so far. A press meet was organized to tell about the movie releasing this Friday, ‘Sanjog’. In the event, the actress Sushma Karki got angry by the question of a journalist. The question was about Sushma’s previous release movie ‘Chalechha Batas Sustari’. The movie released targeting the Valentine Day of 2016 failed to attract viewers while the other two movies released on the same date – ‘Classic’ and ‘Premgeet’ became hit movies.

In the press meet, Sushma claimed that ‘Chalechha Batas Sustari’ was a hit movie. She also asked the journalists to do proper homework before asking her questions. She told, “I don’t need to tell what I am doing. It is your job to find out what I am doing.”

What was the first pay of Nepali actresses Keki, Shristi, Neeta, Gauri, Jharana, Deepa?

I have compiled the list of seven Nepali actresses with the first pay they got for their role in a movie. The actresses include: Gauri Malla, Neeta Dhungana, Shristi Shrestha, Keki Adhikari, Neeta Dhungana, Surabina Karki, Jharana Thapa, Deepa Shree Niraula

In addition to these actresses the following list contain some of the Nepali actors who had told their first income:

Dayahang Rai was paid Rs. 10,000 for the role in his first movie, ‘Anagarik’. Actor Aryan Sigdel had worked for free in ‘Kismat’. The producer Chhabi Raj Ojha hadnâ€™t paid any money to Aryan. Similarly actor Jiwan Luitel also worked for free. He also debuted in Chhabi Raj Ojhaâ€™s movie. Based on these facts, I can safely tell that all the actors who debuted in Chhabi Ojhaâ€™s movies didnâ€™t get any pay for their roles.

Friday release, Gajalu

This week, on June 10, 2016, one of the most awaited movies, ‘Gajalu’ has released in theater. The movie directed Hemraj BC features Miss Nepal 2012, Shristi Shrestha, Anmol KC, Salon Basnet, Gaurav Pahadi, Menuka Paradhan in leading roles. The movie produced by Rohit Basnet is made on the story of the living goddess ‘Kumari’ tradition in Nepal.

Shristi Shrestha is featured as an ex-Kumari in the movie. The premier show of the movie was held in Kathmandu on Thursday. The lead actor Anmol KC didn’t attend the UK premier show of the movie but was present in the Nepal premier show with his father Bhuwan KC. Continue reading

Gajalu Premier show held in Shristi Shrestha hometown, London, Anmol KC didn’t attend

The premier show of upcoming movie ‘Gajalu’Â was held in London on May 29, 2016. In the event, actress Shristi Shrestha and the producer Rohit Adhikari were present. Actor Anmol KC and the director Hemraj BC were also scheduled to attend the world premier show, but they didn’t. It is surprising why Anmol KC returned back to Nepal a few days before the premier show. The film maker’s don’t have a palatable answer to the reason Anmol returned back to Nepal.

The movie, ‘Gajalu’ is scheduled to release on June 10, 2016. The movie directed by Hemraj BC – the director of two of the previous hit movies of Anmol KC – ‘Hostel’ and ‘Jerryy’ a well known director in the Nepali movie industry. In additition to Shristi and Anmol KC other main actors in the movie are Salon Basnet and Gaurav Pahadi.

Gajalu trailer released, an interesting love story concept

The next movie of actor Anmol KC, ‘Gajalu’ is also the debut movie of actress Shristi Shrestha, the Miss Nepal 2012. The trailer of the movie was released in a program held in Kathmandu on April 14, 2014.

It is interesting that the ex-Miss Nepal is featured as an ex-Kumari, the living goddess. Kumari is an ancient tradition in Kathmandu valley, that selects a young girl to be kept as a living goddess until her puberty. After puberty, a Kumari retires and another young girl is selected to live in Kumari ghar as the next living goddess, Kumari. In ‘Gajalu’, Shristi is features as an ex-Kumari. It is a societal belief that, Kumaris shouldn’t marry throughout their lives.

Anmol and Shristi love story, Gajalu to release on May 6

The movie featuring Anmol KC and Miss Nepal 2012, Shristi Shrestha in lieading role – ‘Gajalu’ is scheduled to release on May 6, 2016. According to the producer of the movie, Rohit Adhikari, the shooting of the movie has been completed in 45 days, on January 12. The movie was shot in locations in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitlang, Daman and Kulekhani. The movie directed by Hemraj BC is considered the most awaited movie of the year.

With Shristi and Anmol the movie also features Gaurav Pahadi, Rhitik Shahi and Salon Basnet in main role. The movie is made on the love story of youths. The romantic thriller movie had received a minimum guarantee of Rs. 3.5 million by FD Company in the initial days of the shooting of the movie. The producer has estimated the cost to reach Rs. 12.5 million by the end of post-production.

The artists to be featured in the upcoming Nepali movie ‘Gajalu’ has been finalized. The movie to be produced by Rohit Adhikari will featured some well-known new-age actors in the movie. According to the report, the movie will feature ‘Jerryy’ and ‘Hostel’ famed Anmol KC, ‘Hostel’ actor Salon Basnet, ‘Manjari’ famed Gaurav Pahadi, and ‘Resham Filili’ famed Menuka Pradhan. In addition to them, Miss Nepal 2012 is also going to be featured in main role in the movie. Other artists include Hritik Shahi.

Like ‘Hostel’ and ‘jerryy’ the movie is also going to be directed by Hemraj BC. Hemraj has also written the script of the movie. The movie will feature the cinematography of Shailendradhoj Karki, editing by Surendra Poudel and choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj. The film makers have yet to approach actress Gauri Malla in a role in the movie.

Halloween craze in Nepali artists

The Western cultural influence has been more evident in the Nepal these days. After the widespread popularity of Christmas, Halloween has also gained some grounds these days. Shristi Shrestha to debut in theater, as Ophelia

The Miss Nepal 2012, Shristi Shrestha, is going to debut in theater in Shakespeare’s play ‘Hamlet. Shristi will be featured as the character Ophelia in the play. The play in is being played in association with the British Council, Theater Village and the British Embassy in Kathmandu.

The play in Nepali language is directed by Gregory Thompson in association with Bimal Subedi. The play is going to start at the Bhaktapur Durbar Square on October 12, 2015 at 6:00 PM. The regular shows of the play will start on December 17, 2015 till January 11, 2016 at Theater Village.

Being Sunny Leone, Shristi Shrestha hot appearance in a Bollywood music video

Miss Nepal 2012, Shristi Shrestha, is featured in a remix video of a popular song of a Bollywood movie ‘Jackpot’. The music video features the actor of the movie Sachin Joshi opposite to Shristi. In the original filming of the song ‘Kabhi Jo Badal Barse…’ actress Sunny Leone was featured opposite to Sachin.

Nepali film industry is to get a new actress, a very beautiful one – Miss Nepal 2012, Shristi Shrestha. The model who managed to be one of the top 20 in Miss World 2012, top 8 in Miss Beach Beauty, top 10 in Multimedia and top 10 in dancing skills in the Miss World competition, might bring in something new in the Nepali film industry.

When we talk about the history of Miss Nepal as actresses, none have actually been successful. The last Miss Nepal actress, Malina Joshi is struggling after the failure of her debut movie. Another miss Nepal, Malvika Subba wasn’t successful either. Although Jharana Bajracharya is the most successful actress among the ex-Miss Nepals, she hasn’t been able to leave any marks in the industry. With this history, Shristi’s journey to success as an actress is not going to be easy. Actress Rekha Thapa was one of the contestants of Miss Nepal 1990, but she didn’t win any titles.
