Music Video Award 2016, film actors and actresses nominated (full nomination list)

Although there used to be various awards for Nepali music, a new category of award has emerged – Music video award. To evaluate the technicians and artists in the newly emerging field, award nominations for the new Music Video Award has been released. The award will be awarded in three categories, namely:

Category A – Music – Best Vocal (Male and Female), Best Vocal Pop (Male and Female), Best Lyrics, Best Music, Best Arrangement and Best Lok Dohori
Category B – Video – Music Video, Video Director, Actor, Actress, Choreography, cameraperson, editor
Category C – Special – Music Video(Diaspora), National Feeling, New Talent, Trend Setter, Special contribution

Nepali Film – Producer (with English subtitle)
Starring – Baboo Bogati, Wilson Bikram Rai, Shyam Aryal, Sweta Bhattarai, Shyam Rai, Payal Rayamajhi etc.

The poster of the movie ‘Producer’ was found to be a photoshop copy of an English movie. The film makers later admitted low turn-in of the viewers in the movie. That however didn’t stop the movie from winning awards like Kamana Film Awards and D Cine Award. The movie is a presentation of Jyotiraj Rai and produced by Rajkumar Rai. The movie made on the insider’s story of Nepali film industry shows how the artists are taken advantage of in the industry. The movie is written by Kiran Michael and is said to be of comedy, drama category.

Our review of â€œI am Sorryâ€ was posted after the release of the movie on February 10, 2012. The movie reportedly took 18 months to complete and it was liked by many.

Our reviewer’s comment – ‘I am Sorry’ has a “good story, nice way of story telling, good music, wonderful locations and beautiful scenery.”
