Made by Paradise New Movies, Nepali film ‘Priyasi’ was a hit film by the late director Deepak Rayamajhi. The movie produced by Ramji Shrestha features Kiran Pratap as a new face in Nepali film industry. Actress Sushila Rayamajhi is featured in a special role. Tika Pahadi and Narendra Thapa are featured in guest roles. Chief assistant director is Madan Ghimire and Bijay Ratna Tuladhar is assistant director of the film. Lyrics of the film are composed by Kiran Kharel, Bishowmbhar Pyakurel and Sambhujit Baskota. Action is directed by Mohamed Iqubal, sound by Rajkrishna Shrestha, editing by Satish Koirala, choreography by Basanta Shrestha, script / dialogue Mohan Niraula, cinematography by Chandra Prakash Ghimire, music by Sambhujit Baskota and story by the director Deepak Rayamajhi.

This is a Tharu language film featuring Biraj Bhatta, a superstar of Nepali and Bhojpuri films. The film features well known Tharu actors. In addition to directing the movie, Ranjit Rana has also prepared the screenplay. The movie is produced by Lalbir Chaudhari, Prem Bhandari and Chandra Prakash Chaudhari.

New movie ‘Lappan Chhappan’, is a gangster film inspired by the “Lappan Chappan” titled song of previous hit film ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ (Watch ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ here). The movie was released last year on 24 March 2017. The movie is about dishonesty or deception. Most of the movie was shot in Belgium.

Salman Khan’s Controversial concert Da-Bangg the Tour Nepal re-scheduled

The controversial tour of Salman Khan, Da-Bangg has been re-scheduled from March 10 to some time in April. That was caused by protest from a Maoist group – the Biplav- Maoist faction. The group had threatened the concert organizers of promoting Indian artists instead of promoting Nepali artists.

According to the organizer, ODC Entertainment, the tour was canceled because of a ‘special reason’. In the statement in Facebook, the organization has told that they have already spent Rs. 100 million for the event to cost an estimated sum of Rs. 150,000,000. Salman Khan is reportedly paid Rs. 50 million in advance for the concert. The date however is yet to be finalized for the concert.

The organizers have told that those who had bought the tickets to the event, will be able to use it for the show in the new date. In the meantime, ticket sell is continuing.

There are no redlight areas in Nepal. But, it is open business in a lot of parts. Here are some of the locations in East Nepal where the business is running unchecked. This report is based on the information sent by Gopal Dahal.

Kakarvitta

There is a vehicle station where vehicles go to Siliguri, Darjeeling and Sikkim in India. These vehicle station are more like sex station than vehicle station. In those areas, not only the people from Nepal and India visit, some people from Bangaladesh also frequently visit to meet the sex workers in the area.

As you go from Kakarvitta in the East-West highway, you can see a lot of sex stations. The Birtamod bus park is one of the major station where most of the restaurant and hotels have girls in secret business.

Buddha Was Born in Nepal, World Record Attempt at Tundikhel, Nikhil, Rajesh Hamal

An event was held in Kathmandu to spread the message that Buddha Was Born in Nepal. In the event participated by 75,000 people recited the teaching of Buddha. That was an attempt to break a similar World Record set by a similar group event in which 54,666 people had recited a poem in India.

This is not the first time such events are held in Nepal. A couple of years ago, a similar event was held to create a human image of Buddha.

In the event actors like Nikhil Upreti, Sanchita Luitel, Rajesh Hamal, Chatya Devi and others were present to support the event. The prime minister, KP Oli and the leader of Maoist party were also present at the event.

Shatru Gate trailer, record breaking opening, YouTube trending on top

The trailer of ‘Shatru gate’ was released on Friday. The trailer features almost all the main actors of the movie. The movie directed by Pradeep Bhattarai is a comedy movie featuring Paul Shah, as a guy from the hills and actress Aanchal Sharma, as a young girl from the Terai region. The movie seem to be made on the story of the characters that try to stop the marriage between the two leading characters.

The movie’s songs ‘Rupai Mohani’ and ‘Piratiko Barko’ were very successful. The success of the song has caused the trailer to get a lot of visitors in a short time. Main highlights of the trailer are:

  • For the first time in her acting career, actress Priyanka Karki is featured in a role of Police Inspector. Actor Deepak Raj Giri is featured opposite to Karki.
  • Actress Deepa Shree Niraula is featured as the wife of actor Hari Bamsha Acharya. The son of Hari and Deepa is played by Paul Shah.
  • Deepak is features as a don.
  • There are some incidents in the trailer that reminds people of popular comedy television serial, ’15 Gate’. It seems, the mediator of marriage in the serial is repeated in the film too.
  • Madan Krishna Shreshta is also shown in romantic mood with a couple of girls.

Goodbye Sridevi, the last rituals done after the last makeup of the actress

Bollywood actress Sridevi has been cremeted in Mumbai. Her husband Boney Kapoor torched the dead body of the first female superstar of the Indian cinema industry, Bollywood. The last rituals was conducted by the priests from Tamil Nadu. During the last rituals, Bollywood celebriteis like Shah Rukh Khan, Sunil Setty, Anupam Kher, Amitabh Bachchan, Sabana Azami, Karan Johar etc.

During the last ritual, full makeup was done on Sridevi and she was dressed in bridal dress. The truck that carried Sridevi’s body was covered on white flower. In the truck, her husband Boney Kapoor, son Arjun Kapoor, daughters Janvi Kapoor and Khusi Kapoor and her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor were present. For the last goodbye, a huge crowd of her fans were present on the route the truck was driven. The roads were filled with her fans. The police had to use force at places to control the crowd.

8 Years in 5 Minutes, Rekha Thapa Holi highlights from 2010 to 2018

I have compiled a video of the Holi celebration of Rekha Thapa from 2010 to the last year’s Holi, Holi 2016. As the Holi 2017 is approaching (the festival is on March 12, 2017) I looked back to the history and compiled the list so that I can update it with the new information on the current Holi. I will share the updated video on or after March 12. The following video lists:

  • Rekha Thapa’s Holi in 2010 – Fun filled Holi celebration with Ayush Rijal at Namaste Nepal. That was before Rekha divorced Chhabi Raj Ojha.
  • Holi in 2011 – Video and photos of the celebration at Karishma’s home at Godawari. Almost all the celebrities in the Nepali film industry had gathered in the holi celebration.
  • Holi in 2012 – Video of Rekha dancing with others while Rajesh Payal Rai sang.
  • Holi in 2013 – Holi celebration with ‘Hamesha’ actor Sabin Shrestha and others.
  • Holi in 2014 – This year, Rekha Thapa was busy in the shooting of ‘Himmatwali’. One of the songs in movie was shot during Holi featuring holi colours.
  • Holi in 2015 – Rekha celebrated Holi with actresses Priyanka Karki and Keki Adhikari at Red Studio.
  • Holi in 2016 – At that time, Rekha was promoting her movie ‘Rampyari’. So, she participated in almost all of the major Holi celebration parties in Kathmandu to promote her movie. She also went to Karishma’s residence, Red Studios and other places.
  • Holi in 2017 – in Karishma Manandhar’s home and promotion of her movie ‘Palash’.

Priyanka Karki 31st birthday, is it time for marriage?

Actress Priyanka Karki turned 31 years old on Feburay 27, 2018. After winning Miss Teen 2015 title, Priyanka decided to devote her life to the entertainment industry. She went to the USA for film studies and returned back to act in movies. Although she had acted in TV serials like ‘Gharbeti Ba’, she debuted in films after she returned back from the USA.

Upcoming film ‘Shatru Gate’ organized a surprise birthday party for the actress in an event held in Kathmandu. Here is a video report of the party.

Following the Nepalese Constituent Assembly election in 2013, Nepali Congress leader Sushil Koirala was appointed the Prime Minister of Nepal. Sushil Koirala and backed by the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist). According to the power-sharing agreement, the cabinet consisted of 11 ministers from the Nepali Congress and 10 ministers from the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), one minister of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), one minister of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and five ministers from other parties.
