In a program held in Kathmandu, Hamal told about his plan to get married in Falgun (February – March). In his previous plan they was planning to get married a month earlier in Magh, but, because of some problem the marriage is delayed by a month.

The producer of ‘Parai’, Govinda Shahi, has told that a portion of the income made by the movie will go to the director’s family. ‘Parai’ director Shiva Regmi had died earlier this month after kidney failure.
The producer told, "15 percent of the collection made by the movie in theater all over Nepal on the release day, Friday will be donated to Shiva Regmi family and Shiva Regmi Trust." Half of the amount goes to Shiva’s family and the remaining half to the Trust. The movie is going to release in theaters on December 27.

Nepal Film Development Company (NFDC) started the National Film Award last year and it has started nominating the best artists every 4 months. The final nomination will be compiled from these nominations. The current nomination is based on the movies released in the last four months (Bhadra 1 to Mangsir end) in theaters.

The movie made on a lesbian love story, ‘Soongava’ was selected by a Nepali committee for the Oscars competition to compete in the Best Foreign Movie category.
The Oscars Awards organizer The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science has recently released the list of movies short-listed for the final competition. Nepali movie is not in the list.

Nepal Government’s polio vaccination campaign is going on in 68 districts all over Nepal. The oral vaccine given to children 5-years-old and younger will help children from getting polio. Nepal is yet to eradicate the disease and it is closer to it’s target.

Nepali actress Karishma Manandhar missed the big day of her daughter Kabita Manandhar, who had arrived home from the USA to celebrate her birthday. As Kabita cut the cake, all Karishma could do was to thank her mentor Anjali who had made arrangement of Kabita’s birthday at home. Kabita celebrated her birthday by cutting a cake at home in Godavari with her father Binod Manandhar.
Kabita had planned to surprise Karishma by arriving unannounced on her birthday, but she got the surprise in turn – Karishma had other plans. Karishma flew to Doha, Qatar to participate in a cultural program, on December 17 – the day Kabita arrived.
Actress Rekha Thapa has expressed her happiness on the success of her social work tour of the Far Western region of Nepal. On Wednesday she visited Raute community people at the Jogbudha VDC of Dadeldhura. After receiving warm welcome and meeting with the community members, Rekha has returned back to Dhangadi.
During the meeting with the community Rekha was impressed by the love, respect and closeness shown by the people. She says, "I got the happiness that can’t be bought by money." As promised before, Rekha also adopted three girls and a boy to support them under Rekha Thapa Foundation. The Foundation will provide all the needs of the kids including health and education.
In a program held in Soltae Crown Plaza, actresses and models unveiled Hyundai’s new model vehicle Grand i10. The car costing in the range of Rs. 2.3 to 2.7 million is a new version of the popular model i10 in Nepali market.

On the occasion of the lead actress’ birthday of the upcoming movie ‘Biteka Pal’, the film team organized a special celebration. This was the second time Keki Adhikari was celebrating her birthday with the film team. Last year, she celebrated her birthday in Darjeeling when the shooting of the movie was going on.
The celebration was done during the audio launch of the movie. Speaking at the ceremony Manoj KC told that Keki was the next big name in the industry after Rekha thapa. Producer Raj Kumar Rai also appreciated hard working nature of Keki. The director Suraj Subba also appreciated the work of keki.

A poster and a trailer of Manish Pantha’s upcoming movie ‘Divorce’ are released online recently. The movie scheduled to release on April 4, 2014 tell the story of family relationship and the society. The movie also tries to create awareness on youth about making sex videos and their consequences.

To participate in the New Year program to be held in Doha, Actress Karishma Manandhar has flown to Qatar today (Dec. 17). The event is scheduled to be held on December 18.
As you can see, from the photo above, Karishma is not happy going to Doha this time. That is because, her daughter Kabita Manandhar is returning back to Nepal after she flew to Doha. That is not all, she will also miss Kabita’s birthday that falls on December 17. According to Nepaliactress.com, Kabita’s plan to surprise Karishma by arriving unannounced was spoiled when Karishma couldn’t change the plan to go to Doha.
