Bhaitika of Nepali actors and actresses

Today is Bhai Tika, the main day of Tihar. On this day, brothers and sister offer tika and gifts to each others and wish longevity of the lives of each other. We have collected information about how some of the actors and actresses in Nepali movie industry celebrate Bhai Tika.

All three sisters of actor live in the US. As he is currently in the US, Rajesh will celebrate Bhai Tika with his sisters after a long time. In previous years, Rajesh Hamal used to celebrate Bhai Tika with Maina Suchikar (Maina has recently died).

Actress Namrata Shrestha has two elder brothers and she celebrates Bhai Tika with them. For gifts, Namrata offers sweets and other undisclosed gifts to her brothers on the day.

Keki Adhikari has one younger brother and she has plan to offer sweets, t-shirt, and sun glass as gift to her brother. In turn, Keki doesn’t have any gift expectations from her brother as he is not working and doesn’t have any income sources.

Actress Rekha Thapa also has two elder brothers of her own. But, she has found a new brother, Sagar Thapa for Bhai Tika, two years back. She will most likely celebrate Bhai Tika with Sagar.

Actor Raj Ballav Koirala‘s younger sister is
also living in the US. Raj Ballav is also in the US and will be celebrating Bhai Tika with his sister.

Actress Jharana Thapa has a younger brother. This year, Jharana won’t be able to celebrate Bhai Tika because of the death of her uncle-in-law.

Actress Reema Bishowkarma has a younger brother. Reema’s brother is a Christian. Reema has been celebrating Bhai Tika with two brothers she found two years ago.

Sumina Ghimire‘s elder brother is living in the US these
days. She celebrates Bhai Tika with her cousin brother.

Singer Anju Pant has two elder brother. But, after she converted herself to Christian religion, Anju has stopped celebrating Bhai Tika.

Actress Sarita Giri has two younger brothers. One is living abroad. So, she will have to celebrate Bhai Tika with the one living in Nepal. She offers sweets and Dhaka Topi (traditional Nepali cap) as gift to her brother.

Actress Ranjana Sharma has a elder brother. Ranjana is currently in US and it has been three years she hasn’t been able to celebrate Bhai Tika with her brother. All she does on the day is call back home and talk with her brother.

Actress Sweta Khadka says that Tihar is her best festival of all. Her sister (who lives out of Kathmandu) is also coming to Kathmandu to celebrate Tihar. She also decorates the house for the festival.
