Bollywood actor Aamir Khan visits Nepal in UNICEF mission

Well known Bollywood actor Aamir Khan arrived in Nepal on on Tuesday (October 7,2014) in an UNICEF mission. On Thursday he spent an hour at Pakadi Health Post in Kapilbastu. In his visit he observed medication and treatment of malnutrition affected children. The nutrition program is initiated by local women’s group.

During the visit Aamir remembered similar cases in India. Aamir also visited Lumbini, the birth place of Buddha. He returned back to Kathmandu after visiting Mayadevi temple in Lumbini.

Aamir’s visit to Nepal was kept low-profile because of the security issues that might cause because of the fan base in Nepal. Aamir had brought six personal security guards with him and Nepal police personnel were also deployed for his additional security. Aamir is living in Dwarika’s Hotel.

Before heading back to India on Thursday, Aamir will also held a press conference to share his experience in Nepal.

Earlier this year in a similar visit singer and actress Selena Gomez had also visited Nepal. Unlike Aamir, Selena’s visit was more secret and she had shared photos and video of her visit after she returned back from Nepal.
