Three new films were released in theatre this week on Friday, September 28, 2018. As all three movies are targeted to different viewers, the viewers aren’t expected to divide over these films. In addition to these films, last week’s release ‘Intu Mintu Londonma’ is still getting a lot of viewers. So, it is more like four Nepali movies at the same time.

Katha Kathmandu

A movie directed by Sangita Shrestha, ‘Katha Kathmandu’ is the story of Kathmandu. The movie targeted to the people in Kathmandu is about the life style and crime in the city. The movie got a lot of publicity because of the trailer and the disapproval of the Film Development Board. The movie however is open for all the viewers to watch it. The movie features Priyanka Karki, Pramod Agrahari, Ayushman Desraj Joshi, Sandhya KC, Sanjog Koirala and others. The script of the movie is written by the director Sangita herself. Asta Maharjana is the action director.

Anurag

The movie directed Satya Raj Chaulagain ‘Anurag’ is a musical love story. The movie produced by well known journalist Rishi Dhamala, features Aliza Gautam, Samundra Pandit, Saroj Khanal, Rajaram Poudel, Rupa Rana, Bishow Basnet, Shishir Rana, Mohan Niraula and others. Rishi Dhamala had produced the film to debut his wife Aliza as an actress.

Tshiring

This movie is directed by singer Yash Kumar. A family drama movie features another singer Nima Rumba and the director Yash Kumar in leading role. Actress Kaman Bhujel is featured as the lead actress. The movie is about the relationship between people of Mongol community and Arya community. .

‘Anurag’ trailer has 570 K views

and ‘Katha Kathmandu’ has 616 K views at the time of this writing. That was despite all the scandals and news coverage.

By the viewership, none of the films can be considered promising.
