The movie ‘Parichaya’ is a presentation of Suresh Sunam. The movie directed by a Mumbai based director Aakash Pandey also features a Bollywood actress, Monica Bedi in the leading role. Other artists in the movie are also from Mumbai. The movie was filmed in Bangkok, Kathmandu and Pokhara in the year 2011. The music of the movie is composed by Shikhar Santosh, lyrics by Anand Adhikari. The choreographers are Gobinda Rai and Shiva BK. The movie was released in 2012.
On March 13, 2016 the comeback movie of Biraj Bhatt was announced in a press meet held in Kathmandu. The movie named ‘Parsuram’ by producer and actor Rose Rana, will also be his debut movie as a director. In the past, Rose had produced a number of movies and had also acted in some of them. November 2015.

In my previous report, the shooting of the movie was supposed to start in Magh end. But, the announcement press meet was held on Falgun end. As Biraj is busy in Bhojpuri movies, the film team have a challenge finish the shooting in a short time frame.
The girlfriend of the notorious don Dinesh Adhikari (Chari) is engaged to a UK resident Nepali, Santosh Karki. Miss Teen 2006, Khusbu’s boyfriend Chari was killed in a police encounter in August of 2014. In the engagement party held in Yak and Yeti Hotel, the prime minister KP Sharma Oli was also one of the guests. Until death, Chari was told to be under the protection of the CPN-UML leader and current prime minster KP Oli. There might be other relationships but, it seems the PM’s sympathy towards Khubsu might also be because was the girlfriend of the don under his protection.

Don Chari was under the political protection, specially the current PM, KP Oli. Whenever he was arrested by the police, the police were forced to let him go because of the political pressure. Many believe, including Khusbu Oli, that the police had carefully planned the encounter with Chari so that he was killed before being captured. If he were only captured, there was a high probability that he wouldn’t have been locked-in because of the political protection.

The shooting of the sequel of the hit movie ‘Chapali Height’, titled ‘Chapali Height 2’ has started in Kathmandu. In an event held in Karyavinayak temple, the movie was inaugurated by the producer, artists and other crew members. A video report on the start of the shooting of the movie:
The sequel of hit movie ‘Chapali Height’ is being produced by the Arjun Kumar and is being directed by Dipendra K Khanal. The actors however are all new names in Nepali movie industry.
About ‘Chapali Height’
The original movie ‘Chapali Height’ was released three years ago. ‘Chapali Height’ and ‘Loot’ are credited to have rescued the Nepali movie industry after years-long stretch of unsuccessful Nepali movies. The movie features actress Binita Baral and actors Raj Timilsina and Amir Gautam in leading role. The movie made under Aasma Films banner was produced by Arjun Kumar and directed by Dipendra K Khanal.
This Friday, on March 11, 2016, new Nepali movie ‘Champion’ is released in theaters. The movie initially scheduled to release on February 26 was delayed by a couple of weeks because of a controversy surrounding an ex-actor of the movie. The Censor Board had asked them to solve the issue before it could give them the clearance.
Initially the movie was told to feature Nikhil Upreti and his wife Sanchita Luitel in leading role. But, when Nikhil couldn’t do the movie, a guy named Uddav Nepal was signed in to lead the movie. When the film team found him not suitable to do the role, they had signed in Dikpal Karki and Manjita KC to lead the movie. Other actors in the movie include Sahil Khan, JN Ghimire, Jagat Tamata, Sharada Acharya etc.

The movie produced, written and director by Everest Surya Bohara, was released in theater in 2015. The movie made under Everest Kala Yatra Films banner features Keki Adhikari and Bimalesh in leading roles. The movie features the action of Surya Thokar, cinematography of Sher Bahadur Lama, Editing of Mitra D Gurung, and child artist is Suprem Shah. ‘Mutu’ was released in theatre on February 7, 2014 with superhit movie ‘Jhola’. Before the release of the movie in Nepal, the movie was premiered in the USA in 2012.

The movie written by Sudarshan Shrestha features cinematography of Shiva Dhakal / Nawaraj Krishna Thapa, action by Asta Maharjan, music by Basanta Sapkota / Jayant Sharma, background score by Alis Karki, and produced by Bhadra Bahadur Shahi. The movie was one of the top 10 movies released in the year 2071 according to the Box Office Club. Told to be based on a real story, the movie ‘Punarjanma’ was released in theater on March 6, 2015.
The audio jukebox and the first look poster of upcoming Nepali movie, ‘Ke Ma Timro Hoina Ra’ was released recently. The movie featuring Aryan Adhikari and Marishka Pokharel in leading roles features Prajwal Sujal Giril, Surn Basel, Sabina Gopali and others in main roles. The movie directed by Akash Adhikari features the music of Basanta Sapkota and Tara Prakash Limbu. Both Aryan Adhikari and Marishka Pokharel are debuting in the movie. The movie released this Friday, ‘Dreams’ received a flock of viewers in it’s initial days. The crowd had been the result of the craze of the actor Anmol KC and the popularity of his father Bhuwan KC, who had debuted as a director in the movie. The movie released on the same day, ‘Fulai Fulko Mausam Timilai’ (FFMT) fell into the shadow of the popularity of ‘Dreams’. In latest reports, FFMT is recovering with positive feedbacks in later days.
Anmol KC’s visit to the theaters on Saturday also made news when he was escorted by his four private bodyguards and police officers. Although foreign artists are usually seen with bodyguards by their sides, the seen was new in the Nepali film industry. The movie sounding like Chhabi Raj Ojha‘s hit movie ‘Hero’, titled ‘Hero Returns’ is not a Chhabi Ojha movie. The movie is the debut production of the actor who debuted in Chhabi’s banner – Sabin Shrestha.

In the Nepali film industry, almost every well known actors have produced movies. Most of those actors’ desire to become film maker have failed. When we remember the actors who could become successful producers include Bhuwan KC, Ashok Sharma and Shree Krishna Shrestha. Two actresses – Rekha Thapa and Jharana Thapa can also be included in the list, but their success is largely attributed to their husband (ex- in case of Rekha).

A presentation of Black Horse Pictures and a production of Cinema Arts, Nepali movie ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ is the sequel of hit movie ‘Kabaddi’. Like the previous part, this part is also set in Naurikot Village in Mustang – about 400km away from Kathmandu. The story of this movie is set in the time one year after the events in the first sequel. The executive producer of the movie is Nischal Basnet. Nishchal Basnet has also given voice to one of the songs in the movie. ‘Kabaddi Kabaddi’ was released on November 27 2015. Nischal Basnet and Priyanka Karki are featured in cameo roles in the movie.
A presentation of Dilip Rayamajhi, Nepali movie ‘Hami Sathi Bhai’ is made under the banner of Shreya Films. The script of the movie is written by the director Rabi Aryal. The cinematographer of the movie is Raj Bikram Thapa and is produced by Sunil Datt, art by Niruta Singh, music by Suresh Adhikari, action by NB Maharjan, editing by Banish Shah, and choreography by Basanta Shrestha.
Two new movies are releasing in theater this week on Friday – March 4, 2016. Bhuwan KC‘s directorial debut ‘Dreams’ and Dinesh DC‘s directorial venture ‘Fulai Fulko Mausam Timilai’. Both movies have been very aggressive in the promotion of their movies. Dinesh DC’s responses in various programs had been aggressive towards Bhuwan KC’s movie.

The movie ‘Dreams’ is directed by a well known Nepali actor Bhuwan KC. But, Bhuwan won’t be seen in the screen. Instead, his son Anmol KC leads with actresses Samragyee RL Shah and Sandhya KC. The love story movie is targeted to youth audience with focus on all the essential ingredients of an entertaining movie.
