Smallest book in Nepal – Dahi-Chiure

A book of haiku poems, measuring three inch in length and 2.5 inch in width (3"x2.5") is probably the smallest book ever published in Nepal. The book named ‘Dahi Chiure’ is written by Iran Rai ‘Sweak’ and is of 67 pages long. The price of the book is set to be Rs. 10.

The book however is nowhere near the smallest book in the world.

A Canadian physicists has printed a book measuring only 0.07 mm by 0.10 mm, and is composed of 30 microtablets.

The book, with an International Standard Book Number (ISBN-978-1- 894897-17-4), is entitled ‘Teeny Ted From Turnip Town.’ It was written by Malcolm Douglas Chaplin, a Canadian artist, and was typeset in block letters with a resolution of 40 nanometers.

The smallest books listed in Guinness World Records are the New Testament of the King James Bible (5 by 5mm, created in 2001) and Chekhov’s Chameleon (0.9 by 0.9mm created in 2002).
