No toilet, no Citizenship

rural-toilet There is a sanitary awareness program going on in a remote district in Nepal, Kalikot. The program aims to have toilet for everybody in the district by the year 2015.

To support the noble cause, the district council has formulated a requirement in which every citizenship certificate applicant need to have a toilet at home.

That is not all, every government employee, political leaders, and social workers need to have a toilet at home.
