A veteran choreographer of Nepali film industry, Basanta Jung Rayamajhi, has died on February 3, 2016, while being treated in Norvic Hospital in Kathmandu. 81-years old Rayamajhi was taken to the hospital when he collapsed at home. The dead body of Rayamajhi is kept at Pragya Pratisthan for the last goodbye till the mid-day on Wednesday. The body is scheduled to be cremated at Pashupati Arya Ghat on the same day.

Who is Basanta Jung Rayamajhi?
Basanta Jung Rayamajhi started as a choreographer in Bollywood movies. He had choreographed the dances of various old Hindi movies including that of Amitabh Bachchan and other well known actors. After working in more than 100 Bollywood movies, Rayamajhi, decided to return back to Nepal.
Once in Nepal, he did the choreography of various well known Nepali movies. Some of the movies he had choreographed are Maya Priti, Aashirbad, Yug Dekhi Yug Samma, Basudev, Ke Ghar Ke Dera, Kasturi, Pahilo Prem etc.
Late Rayamajhi is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
