Syangja Nuwakot and Kaal Bhairav Temple, a popular tourist destination

Nuwakot in Syangja is one of the historical and religious tourist destination in Western Nepal.

Before the expansion of Gurkha Kingdom (or, unification of modern Nepal) by Prithivi Narayan Shaha, 24 se feudal Sen King used to rule the region. The wall seen in the photo below is believed to be part of a palace in that time.

Kalika Temple

New palace area (beautiful Himalayan range on the background look majestic)

Air comes out of the hole in ground, seen in the photo below. A natural “fan” on the ground is unique and mysterious.

A historical Chandi Kalika Temple constructed in BS 1510 is still a intact and being worshiped by people. It was constructed in the time of Malla rulers.

Ancient Tundikhel, a place where the people gather for public proceedings.

Kala Bhairav Temple is beautiful in design and is one of the main attraction of the area. People come from all over Nepal to worship in the temple.
