Actress Karishma Manandhar in co-ordination with Param Shakti Peeth is constructing 75 temporary residences for earthquake victims. Out of the promised 75 houses, 50 houses were handed over to the earthquake victims in an even organized on Tuesday, June 23. Minister Minendra Rijal was also present at the handing ceremony of the housed named Batsalaya Kuti to the locals of Chogaun.

The houses were constructed in Chogaun of Dharmasthali Municipality in Kathmandu. In addition to the minister the Film Development Board chairman and other film artists has participated in the program.
In the event, actress Karishma Manandhar and the head of Shakti Peeth, Shadwi Ritambara, were handed over honor certificates. The temporary residence construction committee included Karishma’s husband Binod Manandhar, Aakash Adhikari, Jharana Thapa, Deepa Shree Niraula, Komal Oli, Jitu Nepal, and Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha). Artists Komal Oli, Deepak Raj Giri, Jitu Nepal and Magne Budha also entertained the local by a comedy show for the locals.
Remaining 25 houses are expected to be completed in a week.
In the event Sadhwi has assigned Karishma to construct 90 more temporary residences for the earthquake victims of Godawari. She also told that 600 more temporary residences are planned in near future. The social worker from India, Rupak Chandra Goyal has also promised to help in the construction of 100 such residences.
In a Facebook message Karishma has thanked everybody involved in the social work.
