Actress Namrata Shrestha is one of the most successful actress in the Nepali film industry. In addition to films, she had also acted in a couple of theatre plays. About three years ago she had impressed the viwers by a play named ‘Yarma’. Now, she is also doing another play titled ‘Golden Boy’. The play is the Nepali version of a well known play by a US director Deborah Merola. A Hollywood movie by the same name was also made in 1969 based on the story.

In addition to Namrata, the play features Rajkumar Pudasaini and Saroj Aryal. A US theatre actor will also be featured in the play.

The play about the ups and downs of a boxer’s life was written by Cliford Odets. The play had started on September 1 and will run till September 10 in Karma Bar and Lounge located in United World Centre, Tripuresowr.
