We appreciate the actresses in the film industry. We often forget about the mothers who brought in earth the amazing actress. I am sharing the photos of the mothers of 10 amazing actresses in the Nepali film industry.
10. Rekha Thapa – The number one actress of the past, Rekha Thapa’s mother Saraswati Thapa is named the producer of Rekha’s home production movies, after Rekha divorced Chhabi Raj Ojha.
9. Namrata Sapkota – She is the actress of ‘Chhakka Panja’, a model and a dancer. The mother of Namrata Sapkota:
Nepali actresses come very cheap when compared to their male counterparts. The actress Rekha Thapa, who claims to be equivalent to a male actress, and always works in female-centric movies, is paid less than most of the male actors. Rekha’s rate is Rs. 5 lakh. Actor Anmol KC is paid about five times that amount. Another actor Pradeep Khadka is also paid more than four times that amount. In Rekha’s last movie, she also paid her co-star, Aryan Sigdel, 3 times the amount she expects others to pay her.
Is it a female dominance or a discrimination? Are the actresses not demanding their worth?
First let’s see who is paid what amount watch the video report:
List of the pay rate of Nepali actors:
- Anmol KC – 25 lakh for ‘Kri’ (Anmol’s father, Bhuwan KC is co-producer of the movie)

I have been sharing Tihar photos of Nepali celebrities for the last few years. Last year, I had shared 20 photos of celebrating Tihar. This year I wanted to continue the tradition by posting 20 more photos this year. I haven’t repeated the same celebrities but, most of them are the same every year. If you want to learn more, there is the details on the five days of Tihar.
The photos of the previous years:
Although Bhai Tika is celebrated with brothers and sisters, they don’t need to be biological siblings. Those who don’t have their own siblings, or those who are separated because of living at different place, find one of their liking and make a temporary brother or sister for the festival.
Anmol KC is currently in the USA. He celebrated Tihar with his step-sister, Kajal KC in the USA. Kajal, her mother, Bijaya KC and her brother live in the USA. Bhuwan’s home production Kajal Films is named after Kajal KC.
Nepali actress Namrata Shrestha has started a challenge for the Tihar – to cook sel roti and create breast cancer awareness. In her social media posts, she had shared a video telling others to upload the videos of themselves making selroti in Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Namrata writes, breast cancer being the most commonly diagnosed cancer amongst women and regular check ups help in fighting it better. She has also shared the contact information of Nepal Cancer Hospital for donations.

This is an update on the post I made a year ago in 2016. There was a new leak of photos of actress Susana Dhakal a while ago. In the photo she is seen in a hotel strategically covering the sensitive parts but without any clothes. The photos were uploaded in her own Facebook page. After the leak she told that she had lost her mobile phone and apparently those photos were in her phone and somebody uploaded them without her consent. The event is a warning to everybody what can happen if you keep the photos you don’t want others to see in your phone. Susana’s scandal was not that big when compared to the following five scandals.
