In Hindu tradition, 13th day of the death is considered the day to wrap up the mourning of a death. On the day, the dead is remembered and the belongings of the dead are handed over to a chosen person.

Although the memorial ceremony to be held at Pragya Pratistan is of similar nature, it is more like lighting candles in the name of known and unknown people killed by the earthquake. The program starts at 6:00 PM on Thursday.

After the earthquake, most of the Nepali film artists have been distributing relief materials to the needy and were also creating awareness to the people. The artists were helping in groups and individually in the relief efforts.
