Jaya Parshuram Controversy
The comeback movie of Biraj Bhatt is faced a legal dispute two days before the release. On August 9, 2016, Patan District Court ordered to stop the release of the movie. In the start the movie was named ‘Parshuram’. The script was written for that name. The first press meet held in March of 2016 was also held for that name. But, after the name was found to be already registered, ‘Jaya’ was added in the beginning of the name to make it different.
After the film shooting, post-production was complete. A company, Black Chilli Arts claimed the copyright on the name and sued against Rose Rana and FDB. According to one of the FDB rule, adding words to names of films registered in other’s movie names. The movie however was released on the scheduled date despite of the court order and controversies.
