The second movie of Ranjit Movies, ‘Chunauti’ is a presentation of Durgadas Ranjit. The movie features the action by Sureendra Shah and Roshan Shrestha, choreography by Kamal Rai, music by Sambhujit Baskota, the chief assistant director is Pradeep Shrestha, the script and dialogue written by Brajesh Khanal, editing by Rajani Panta, cinematography by Raju Thapa, producer is Biju Ranit and assistant producer is Kalpana Sharma. The lyrics in the movie are written by Kiran Kharel, Dr. Bhola Rijal, and Dinesh Adhikari. Playback singers are Prakash Shrestha, Sukmit Gurung, Anand Karki, Kunti Moktan, Rama, Lochan Bhattarai, Rajesh Payal Rai, Bimala Rai, Amar Tandukar, Mamata Dipbim and Mela Baskota. The story of the movie is written by the director Naresh Poudel.
Star Cast of ‘Chaunauti’
The movie ‘Chunauti’ was made in the time before Saroj Khanal went to the USA. Khanal was considered the actor with the most potential to be the next superstar in the film industry. After about two decades in the USA Khanal has returned back to Nepal a couple of years ago. He is also featured in some movies. But, his craze has already diminished these days. The loss of another lead actor Shree Krishna Shrestha, two years ago is a huge loss to the film industry. Actress Bipana Thapa had also left the film industry when she married an Indian national. After marrying she left the film industry and is living as a house wife in India.
The director Naresh Poudel was a well known director and film producer of his time. He had also teamed up with Chhabi Raj Ojha to produce some of the successful movies in the past. These days, Naresh Poudel is not active in the film industry.
