Anmol’s well known movie featuring Aditi Budhathoki for the first time in Nepali film industry, ‘Kri’ is released online. The action movie is directed written and edited by Surendra Poudel. Although the movie had gained a lot of media attention, the box office collection wasn’t impressive. That was despite of huge investment and featuring Anmol KC in the leading role.

This is an unofficial sequel of superhit film ‘Prem Geet’ featuring the actress of and the director of the original film. The official sequel was named ‘Prem Geet 2’. Both of the sequels were successful in box office. The movie also won numerous awards. The movie was released on July 14, 2017 (release news). Although the name of the film is borrowed from a song in the movie â€˜Prem Geetâ€™, the characters in the movie are not named Prem and Geet (The characters of another movie â€˜Prem Geet 2â€™ are named Prem and Geet). The lead character in the film is Paul (the real name) and the actress Pooja is named Saya in the movie.

Star Cast of ‘Chaunauti’
The movie ‘Chunauti’ was made in the time before Saroj Khanal went to the USA. Khanal was considered the actor with the most potential to be the next superstar in the film industry. After about two decades in the USA Khanal has returned back to Nepal a couple of years ago. He is also featured in some movies. But, his craze has already diminished these days. The loss of another lead actor Shree Krishna Shrestha, two years ago is a huge loss to the film industry. Actress Bipana Thapa had also left the film industry when she married an Indian national. After marrying she left the film industry and is living as a house wife in India.
The director Naresh Poudel was a well known director and film producer of his time. He had also teamed up with Chhabi Raj Ojha to produce some of the successful movies in the past. These days, Naresh Poudel is not active in the film industry.

The movie ‘Kismat 2’ is a Chhabiraj Production movie – a sequel of a hit movie ‘Kismat’, but made in a new story. Another movie ‘Subba Saab’ is director Raju Adhikari’s presentation. These movies are released at the time ‘Chhaka Panja’ is keeping its holdover for a month.

The debut movie of actor Sabin Shrestha, ‘Hero Returns’ was formally announced in an event held on August 2, 2016 in Kathmandu. Rekha Thapa, the actress who debuted in Chhabi Raj Ojha’s movie ‘Hero’, will also be featured in a leading role in ‘Hero Returns’.
With Rekha Thapa, Sabin Shrestha, Dil Shrestha and Saroj Khanal in leading role, the movie will be directed by Ashish Bhetwal. Bhetwal wasn’t present in the press meet as he is currently in Australia.
Talking in the press meet, Rekha Thapa told that she was impressed by the story and couldn’t say no to the role. She told, she will be featured in an action role int he movie. The movie will be made on an action-comedy story written by Shivam Adhikari.
