In an event held at the Hotel Radisson on April 18, VOW (Voice of Women) magazine announced the results of the VOW Top 10 College Women Competition.
The Most Outstanding Student award for this year was awarded to Tika Ratna Malla from Chelsea International Academy. The ten winners were selected from the 195 applicants from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dharan, Biratnagar, Butwal, Bharatpur and Nepalgunj.
The VOW Top 10 College Women for the year 2010 were:

- Kanchan Amatya
Sadichha Shrestha- Swati Chand
- Aayusha Gautam
- Antara Singh
- Sonu Shrestha
- Kanika Agrawal
- Sony K.C.
- Sunita Nhemaphuki
Each winners received a reward of Rs. 10,000 from the chief guest, Minister of Defence Bidhya Bhandari. In the event Minister Bhandari said, “The young women who have taken part in this type of competition will be leaders in their life. It is a very good platform for the students.â€
For the past six years VOW magazine has been organizing such annual competitions, and has been awarding college students based on their academics, leadership qualities, and activities conducted by the students in their college and in the society as a whole. The panel of judges in the event included artist Chirag Bangdel, choreographer Rachana Gurung, and banker Raveena Joshi.
