Cleaning up the streets are supposed to be good examples to general public and motivate them to participate in making our cities clean. But, recent event organized by the film artists has cast a bad example for the general public.
Our friends at filmnepal.net have pointed out that the Nepali actresses have failed to live up to the expectation of cleanliness while cleaning the streets. They should at least have worn some facial mask and gloves to protect themselves from harmful germs In the street. Wearing loose dress and long shawl would be the worst thing one can wear while working as a janitor.
At least, somebody should have told them about safety attire before handing over the brooms.
Female artists typically are more fashion conscious and would prefer looks over safety. But, that was not the case when cleaning was performed. Actors/distributor Ashok Sharma and singer Rajesh Payal Rai also didn’t feel it necessary to wear proper attire while performing the clean-up. In that aspect the prime minister Baburam Bhattarai had set a good example by wearing gloves and mask. Although, the PM couple would have worn an apron too, wearing mask and gloves was far better clean practice that the Nepali entertainment personalities.
