Satya Raj Acharya, a singer and son of Bhajan Shiromadi, Bhakta Raj Acharya, is going to act in a movie named "Acharya". The movie is based on the life of Bhakta Raj and Satya will act in his father’s role. Satya Raj got the lead role as his face resembles his father’s and he also knows his father better than anyone else.

Roshan Rai, a resident of Sikkim is producing the movie. Prasant Rasaili will be directing the movie in which 86 actors will be new face. The artists will be selected at an audition held at Hotel Ambassador, Lazimpat, Kathmandu. The film will be shot in Nepal and Sikkim, India.

Shooting of the movie will start in December.

Satya Raj isn’t the only Nepali singer who is acting in a movie.

It is to be noted that another singer, Prashant Tamang is also acting in a movie named Gorkha Paltan. Another singer, Ram Krishna Dhakal, acted in “Ashirwad”, a movie based on his own life. Noted singer, Udit Narayan Jha, also acted in “Kusume Rumal” back in 1985.
