Sitasma Chand, Miss Nepal 2007, Father’s day message

Miss Nepal 2007, Sitashma Chand, lost her father when she was 15-years-old. She says, she has almost forgotten what it felt like to be a little daddy’s girl.

Sitashma says, “My family says I was his favourite as I was his youngest. Just the thought of being a daddy’s girl makes me so happy but I wonder how it felt then… it’s been too long.”

She says, she doesn’t even dream of her father much. “I saw him in my dreams once after he left us. Just once. It’s strange why I don’t dream of him as much as my sisters do. I’m sure he’s watching over me after all these years. I miss him.”

For those who have their parents, Sitashma’s request is to, “Love, respect and cherish your parents while you can. You might have fought with them, you might have had differences, you might have created your own family and not value them as much as you used to. Remember, life is uncertain.”

She adds, “If you are reading this and are lucky to have your father with you or a call away…. go hug them or call them (on my behalf too) and tell them how much you love them. Don’t wait till Father’s day.”

And this is her mother:
