The controversial choreographer of Miss Nepal, Rachana Gurung Sharma, is a well known personality in herself. Choreographing Miss Nepal for the last 25 years and at the time when she was celebrating her silver jublee of choreographing, she has fallen victim of an unusual controversy. A veteran choreographer of Nepali film industry, Basanta Jung Rayamajhi, has died on February 3, 2016, while being treated in Norvic Hospital in Kathmandu. 81-years old Rayamajhi was taken to the hospital when he collapsed at home. The dead body of Rayamajhi is kept at Pragya Pratisthan for the last goodbye till the mid-day on Wednesday. The body is scheduled to be cremated at Pashupati Arya Ghat on the same day.

Basanta Jung Rayamajhi started as a choreographer in Bollywood movies. He had choreographed the dances of various old Hindi movies including that of Amitabh Bachchan and other well known actors. After working in more than 100 Bollywood movies, Rayamajhi, decided to return back to Nepal.
